I use... Great video quality easy transfer (I have a microdrive slot on my pc) Lightweight, can carry it in my pocket if I wanted to. Microdrive/CompactFlash and Secure Digital card slots for extra storage and transfer (4.0GB Microdrive card included) the only thing that I would see would be a downfall is its like 1200.00 dollars. but hey, price is nothing when its something you want right!!

How would we know if our videos got picked??

HHN rocks!! Last year was my first year and im hooked. But if I would make a suggestion, try to go early in the season because it can get soldout real fast in the latter of oct and get the EXPRESS PASS, it will become your best friend!!

oh boy im getting nervous now...I dont know if you guys recieved my video yet (DVD has top gun on the disk) but I saved my files as mpegbecause I didnt use adobe for my video editing. (at work right now and cant think of the program) but it saved the actual clips as MPEG when I save it to make DVD. Well time will tell....

I was just thinking "are we gonna start seeing less and less of the traditional vertical loop". With rides like hydra, storm runner and the dearly departed drachen fire now featuring a inversion line-up excluding the vertical loop do you think companies are starting to look at other looping options other then it. I for one like coasters w/o the vertical loop. They just seem like they are in a category of their own. What are your takes on it?

When I was at the park earlier this year I asked some of the "higher ups" the exact same question. And the reply was "Well, if we knew the answer it would be running". Apparently the problem is SF's alone because the coaster was already released to them from vekoma before all the mahiem began. Man I feel sorry for the six flags parks.....

thanks for the feedback. the reason for the seemingly double clips is that I wanted tthe clip to coincide w/ the song. Notice how during the "climatic" point of the verses it features the fusing/fading clips together whereas on the rest of the video it has fade out/black/fade in. It sounds a bit confusing but I wanted to be like that coaster was "dancing" with the song!.

^^ chik-fila is plentiful in south carolina and they are pretty darn good. On mondays you can bring your church rooster and get free food!!

Becareful what you ask for! I went and did some trial and error to see how you can make one video into a totally different video. I did add a few more clips that wasn't featured in the first video however, I took out the on-ride footage just to see if I can make a good coaster video w/o on-ride footage. And the tune top gun roars to is.....you guess it! "take my breath away". It was risky but I think I pulled it off pretty well!! As always tell me how you feel about the video and tell me what could have been better and also what was good about it!! HERE

thanks for the feedback its really appreciated. I dont know too many coasters that can pull off a slow song like that but hey its nothing like trial and error!

thanks man, I tried to retain a good quality but I dont know at what rate will it still mantain a good quality but be a smaller file. Any suggestions?

yeah they help! luckly parks let me bring it in. Its not huge but I do get some slack from the security but they are just doing their job.

nah dont work there.....its depends on the times you go sometimes it can be dead im certain areas and other times the line can be wrapped around to the exit. That particular day was season pass holders preview.

The clip is of Top Gun the jet coaster at paramount's carowinds. Its a 2 minute 40 sec clip featuring on ride and off ride footage. I tried to be professional as possible! Enough of my babble theres the link and please leave comments and suggestions! I was gonna enter it into the video contest but I have already made the DVD for that and didnt wanna make a whole new DVD for the clip...but its never too late Another thing the link is only avaliable until thrusday because the site only leaves it there for transfer for a week so hurry!!

I just want to thank you guys for all the advice so far. Im looking for a pretty good webhosting. I checked out godaddy.com and it seemed to be pretty good to me. I wanted to know from you guys what is a good webhost? Im also taking jeff's advice and sending out "press release" to the prospective parks telling them about the site, what makes the site different, the features of the site, and how it can benefit them as a park. As well as sending them photos from various photos I have taken and a promotional DVD video featuring 3 video clips. Once again thanks to those who have helped out thus far. You all have no idea how much that means to me!!

I think I have to get a webhosting right now? Im about to go to the library and see if they have some books on it and things of that nature (and get some books about japan for that trip!). I would have to say film. I can take the same picture with the digital and the film and the film always comes out better! But then the arguement can be based on the quality of the film vs the quality of the digital cam you have..... Hummm

Whats that controversial coaster that comes to mind! Kinda like coaster scandal where something was covered but was later surfaced. I can think of V2 at Six Flags Marine World. It was kinda funny how six flags "forgot" to put the right height on the release and advertised it as 150.... Then it got circumsized and turned out to be a one of a kind coaster!
