Photo TR: Cinecitta World opening weekend
Werner replied to Hhappy's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great TR Hanno, visited it myself on the 24th, was late for opening. Took the wrong exit... Good to see that they really want to be given points were they can improve on. And i believe that many of those points will be taking care of by next year! Will be intresting to see what the future brings for this park... -
Vekoma Roller Coasters
Werner replied to kingdakacor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Worst? Gouderix, no doubt about that one! Best? Big Thunder Mountain, Disneyland Pars! Just your BTM with the added of 2 under water tunnels! I also think that Vekoma has build some really good rides, most of them are more family orientated. And the partnership with Disney gave us some pretty decent coasters in those parks too. Edit: Pot 666! -
Hello fellow TPR members and readers, Today i had the change to be one of the first to visit the worlds newest themepark! Cinécitta World nearby Rome, Italy. I didn't really follow all the information and constuction for this project. The only thing i did know for a long time that they had an Intamin 10-looper, just a couple of days ago i found out they had an Intamin drop-coaster as well. And the 'giant' Elephant Freefall tower. But everything else was a surprise for me. Now on to the photo's: Welcome to Cinécitta World! You don't enter this park, you get eaten by it! Poop! And your in... Cinematic version on NYC! Where the gangs rule! It's the newest in the 10 looper family! Altair! Airtime!? Sadly no, but it did bounce a lot! Coming Down! No square km of Rome goes without a church! Behind door 1#: Enigma! A big show with lots AND lots special effects! Door 2# belongs to Darkmare a indoor version of 13! Darkmare part 2: The End! It's the Mack Splash Battle with funny boats... A mystery box! What behind door number 3? Ehh, why is there a pole coming out of your back? Fall, fall, fall! It's the big ass Elephant... Lucky for us the park in very flat! No trouble with wheelchairs here. Food was very good here and very cheap too. Food was very good here and very cheap too. Splash! or Coaster? For the lifthill enthousiast... Loop de Loop! Times 10 that is... Now with lapbars only...! Upside down, lost the count yet? NO? Le grande finale... And that makes 10! Once more for the fans... Today was the first day of operations for the park, not everything was ready yet. Shops where not filled and not everything worked like it should have. There will always be some starting problems, nothing mayor and everything was fixed really fast! Big plus for the park! Also most employees spoke very good English and the ones that didn't still tried to do their best. And that's a big plus in Italy, where you still find a lot of people that just refuse to speak English. The big plus today was Darkmare, since i didn't know much about it. It really surprised me, it's a very good family coaster with a fun vertical drop. Theming is also great, one of the better indoor coasters in Europe! That's it for now, hope you enjoyed this report and don't forget to visit the park next time your in Rome!

TPR Scandi Trip 2014 Mini Updates!
Werner replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The question is why would they not be allowed to drink? The law gives the minimum drinking age, and if you above it your allowed to drink. It's something to get used to when your allowed to drink in your own country but aren't in the USA... Had that in Florida back in 2009... Looks like a great trip guys! Wish i had the money and time of to do more and more things every year! -
In Holiday Park they sell wheels from Expedition GeForce, my guess thats the best way to get something. And you get to ride GeForce itself, when open...

I can only say one thing: . This looks like Outlaw Run 2.0... -
I used the trains to get from Stoke to Blackpool last year, it's doable. We even took suitcases and a wheelchair with us. Should be no problem

Werner replied to roeterich's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm all in for a new darkride in that spot, and hopefully it will be something like Darkastle. I think something like that would fot perfectly within the Mystery theme... Maybe they can add a small family coaster with massive theming aswell outdoors, something like Die Slange von Midgard at Hansa Park. And expend a little village with shops/restaurants around the corner from River Quest. -

Looks like a great trip! I also loved Wicked when i saw it in the Theater... -
I know it's called 'ask Alvey' but my tip would be look into the Orlando Flexticket. It gets you into Busch, Seaworld and Universal for a fair prize.

That's Yin for this amaving view of a new must visit park! -
Well maybe because that observation deck is in a terrible location, and so will this Ferris Wheel be if they only make it 60 meters high. It won't get over the tall buidings in het area of Rotterdam. And that 165 meters high building is right across the river so that won't help either, It's a terrible idea to start with Rotterdam is no Londen or anything despite i love living there...

Madrid for a weekend
Werner replied to simon8899's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I went in early May in 2011, both parks were empty at that time of year. Crowds pick up a little in the evening at Parque de Attractions. Warner just isn't a big hit with the locals it seems... Sadly for the park, hope it gets better in the future. Also went in summer of 2012 and PdA was busy in the afternoon and gets packed in the evening. PWM was a little more crowded, but still only a 10 minute wait ihe entire day. -
Madrid for a weekend
Werner replied to simon8899's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
If you call BJL they are able to make the seasonpasses and send them to you. You need to mail them a good photo, so they can cut out a section for the season pass. In 2012 i did the same thing, you only need to pay a little extra for the mailing but it's worth it! We made a money transfer for both the season passes and the mailing cost for international mail. When you get in touch wel guest relations everything will work out. It will save you a lot! Hope this helps... -

Try the Orlando flexticket It's good for Busch, Seaworld and Universal... Here's a link: http://www.orlandoflexticket.co.uk/pages/home -
That doesn't need a refurbishment or improvements. It overdue for a wrecking ball! Out of the woodie's i've been on it's: The Boss - Iron Horse Mean Streak - Iron Horse The Bandit - retrack, work in progress... Robin Hood - retrack, maybe Topper Track with the new Vekoma/RMC deal. Others are not to be saved, or are overdue for a wrecking ball. RCCA mostly!
