^ Haha, well luckily this was a game that I missed (I was playing paintball), but oh well you can't win them all. Ottawa is definately a threat to us because of the playoffs last year, yet I think the Pens are definately capable of going to the Cup. I love hockey!

The Penguins won their last two games. I'm curious to see how they play against Ottawa.

Alright so did anyone watch the Penguin/Panther game? That ending goal by Malone was insane! I mean, scoring those 3 goals in the third was probably the most intense hockey that I've scene all season. I know that this was the first modern Suspended Swinging Coaster and everything, but Ron Toomer and the designers had to have known that the cars were not meant to swing that violently.

Ah ye olde Theme Park Review videos are coming back. I still love to watch the 2004 and 2005 videos that I bought on VHS! I love your video work, I'm a little jealous because I'll be going into my major, Communications/Media Arts - Film next semester and I doubt I will be filming any coasters, Daves, Hoffman girls, or random TPR people.

I wanted to bring this back, the Penguins have been playing very well these past few weeks. It's not just the 8-0 win record that they have now or Conklin's 9-0 performance as a goalie, but the whole team seems to be bringing extra to each game they face. I love hockey and I love the Pens.

^ So in translation I think you mean this company that's buying the park won't put too much change into it unless the park management wants to. Kind of like when Kennywood bought Lake Compounce, they owned the park, yet they didn't run it.

Is it just me or has the "magic" disappeared from amusement parks today? I mean I look at all these old pictures you have and it gives me a warm feeling while today's park make me shake my head. It's a shame..

Hey guys, I didn't feel like starting a new topic due to the fear of it getting locked. A few pages back I mentioned a concert where I was being security. Well that concert was mainly for the Paintball Club at UPT (University of Pittsburgh - Titusville) and one of the bands playing belongs to a couple of good friends of mine; Ryan who is on lead guitar and Dylan who is on drums. While technically all the proceeds went to the paintball club, this concert would be the band's first charged admission show ever. The band does have a myspace, but they have no digital audio recordings yet. However, they do have four videos and they're of decent quality. Now I must warn you guys that this is a metal band, so don't expect the greatest vocals, but what you should expect is some very good guitar work. I give you... Scions of Thrym

Yeah the coaster cars look really uncomfortable. If they want this "design" to be successful they should replace the cars with X like cars that rotate freely. Then again those X cars + that track design, it'd be cheaper to install a Top Spin, haha...

^ Yeah, forget the wood. They would have to put in a track section that would look like an Arrow Corkscrew track.

^ I thought the entire bridge would be tunneled because if you were driving and suddenly a coaster train roared over your car it may cause an accident. Though I do like what they have in the video because they'll need some sort of barrier to keep the people from throwing crap onto the highway below.

Last night I was backstage security for my friend's band "Scions of Thrym" and they thrashed the place (in a good way). I actually had to take some guy home because he broke his ankle in the mosh pit; then again he was trying to slam some other guy's head into the ground, so he got what he deserved...

Only bad experience was trying to get on Stormrunner during it's first season at Hershey Park. It took me about an hour to get into the station and once I was there the ride broke down. A lot of people left so I jumped into the que for the first seat on the second car on the right side of the station. It was really hot and humid that day (90 degree temp. when it was feeling like a 100 degrees) and considering that I had to use the bathroom really bad I ended up waiting another hour for the ride to start. The coaster was great, but damn I had to do #2 Yeah I thought your worst experience was at Knotts when the guy who was closing the lap bars (forgot which ride, plunge maybe?) took off a piece of skin with his boot. That had to have hurt...

The new PTC trains look interesting, but I can't wait to try them out next season. They remind me of the old NAD junior trains...

I liked the Ravine Flyer 2 renderings and photos.

Lake Erie looks like an ocean to me in all of those pictures. It's even better because there are no sharks, lol... RF2 looks like it's going to be great, it will be my first GG coaster when I ride it.

Wow! Six Flags Magic Mountain is doing what Kennywood did to their Steel Phantom (except for the loop removal I think). Good for them, I'm curious to see what "improvements" that they'll be making to the track itself, if any.
