Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't think it'll be like that, remember that that shot is from in isometric point of view. Find a shot that has the lift and drop from the direct side and you'll find it will be a bit easier to predict how the crest will look. -
Jin Jiang Action Park to install GIB
A.J. replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Holy [censored], it just crawls through the cobra roll on the return trip... EDIT: It looks like the restraints are just the restraints, and no extra padding has been added like the trains on the Six Flags Giant Inverted Boomerangs. That's a good thing, IMO, because every picture I've seen of someone riding on Deja Vu made them look like they were in a deathtrap. -
Thorpe Park Discussion Thread

I don't think so. It looks like it's only banked at... NINETY DEGREES!!!!!!! ...but it might be more. I personally count anything banked at 135 degrees or more to be an inversion. -

No, you can't, as far as I know. -

And to think, I passed by Bonanza Golf almost every other day and I had no idea what lied within! -
I would rather use the search function, because this thread already exists. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21136

Official RCT/RCT2 Help Thread
A.J. replied to Stoksy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I actually stumbled on that tutorial when I was poking around over at NewElement (GASP!) earlier this morning. I also found a park that had the road objects I wanted in it. Thanks for letting me know, Coupon. I finally have a use for the checkerboard land tiles after all! I just didn't realize removing the pad was as simple as a map object manipulation. -
Official RCT/RCT2 Help Thread
A.J. replied to Stoksy's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Can anyone reference me to an RCT2 tutorial that will teach me how to get rid of the brown pad that rides are built on, as well as getting rid of the huts? I'm thinking about creating a very tight park (sound familiar?). EDIT: I'm also looking for some great roadway/highway CS, with traffic signals and such. Anyone have any of that? -
Less expensive. I'm a poor college student, you know.

Maylene's Classic Corkscrew
A.J. replied to Maylene's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
That's a tough question. I can think of a few off the top of my head: - Intamin New Looping/Blitz trains (as seen on Maverick and Fahrenheit) - Intamin Spinning Coaster cars (as seen on Bakken's Tornado) - Vekoma New SLC trains (as seen on Great Nor'Easter) - Vekoma New Looping trains (as seen on Carolina Cobra and Speed of Sound) But, really, it would be more useful to have a CTR with as many pieces of the same track style as possible (like the built-in extended coaster), no matter what the train would be. -
I'd really only use it on several interstates - I-80 to/from New York, I-76 to/from Philadelphia (though not IN Philadelphia), I-81 to/from Hagerstown MD, and of course I-95 to/from well...everywhere.

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

Whatever the restraint system will be, it will be overhead. That shouldn't be being disputed... -
I just like cruise control, is all. I did some quick searches the other day, and they seem like they're really hard to find (the Mark IIIs). I hope I can find a good one, as I've been looking for a "cheap but practical" car for a while now.

D'aw. Y'all gun make me blush. I guess it's one of those things where you're a member on multiple websites. Those guys on NewElement are really harsh all the time if someone's project isn't exactly the way they like it. Then, you go back and forth between forums, each with different sets of rules, and start to have an "oh, they won't care" attitude. Then you get yourself warned or banned, and you immediately think it's not your fault. It seems all these "problem children" are actual children...

I know! I'll make a Photo TR of when I get a glue stick! It'll be the most popular topic Theme Park Review has ever seen! -

I think I'll frame it. "The day I almost won something." Along with my other "days I almost won something"s. -

Play-by-play: I asked for the contest. Robb put a link in my post in the Cars thread about how I'm thinking about buying a VW Golf. Apple Juice = A.J. Alabama Starting QB = also named AJ Carrot Top = my hair Tiger Woods plays golf. Robb, you seriously need to put in one of those smileys with it bashing its head against a brick wall. -

Wow. I just got completely screwed, wasted, toyed with, and punched in the groin. The Golf isn't my favorite car... -

Is "it" hidden in a post where I reference my favorite ride?
