  1. Can we get back on topic puh-leese? Does Christmas Candylane go into Comet Hollow? It seems like the atmosphere of the event will be completely different this year with all the Skyrush construction going on.
  2. Hooray! I don't have to be completely messed with this time! I've already made my own IAAPA Bag of Crap!
  3. I absolutely LOVED the SkyTrail ropes course they had at the show! It's so much fun! I have never felt so much peer pressure in my life - Robb, and all of my group pressured me about doing the Moser Gyro Loop. Sorry guys, I will not become motion sick for your entertainment! No matter how many you-know-whats you'll give me! Hanno was cool about it though. Thanks for your support!
  4. My highlights - First off, upon entering the hall, I was completely floored. COMPLETELY. I have never been to an exposition that has so many different fields that are completely relevant together. My buddies seemed to like the Moser Gyro Loop. They got the hang of it after a few rides and then were subsequently doing six to eight flips in a row. A lot of the manufacturers represented at the show are very pleasant and happy to answer questions (such as GCI, TGG, and Proslide to name a few). This was great for our group, because we were here to learn about how all these different fields come together to form the industry we love so much. The guys from Mack were especially nice to us. They let us climb aboard the Manta train and get a picture! Then they joked about leaving myself and one of my buddies locked in the restraints until Friday. Honestly, they're a great bunch of people. This ended up being one of the most productive and most fun days of my life, and I'm looking forward to combing through more of the show tomorrow. I'm so happy that the people in this industry are willing to pass on some of their knowledge to those who aspire to one day be at their level. It really makes me feel like I'm going in the right direction. One more thing - photo with Robb - off the unofficial TPR bucket list! Hopefully I won't be hunted down.
  5. I bet that it's the centerpiece for the second Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction.
  6. I'm looking forward to TPR's coverage of the event, as well as possibly providing my own unique perspective on the show through my own coverage, now that my career goals have changed.
  7. Didn't Phoenix have three four-bench cars per train when it was the Rocket at Playland?
  8. No, sir, I'm only 20 years old. I haven't lived long enough to deliver mail.
  9. Dirt? Pee-shaw. It's all about the rebar!
  10. On the subject of adults and gaming... Heheheh.
  11. My question is - what can this system do to stop a guest from entering the park if they get a (color assumed) red light? One time when I didn't put my finger down properly and I assumed I was good, I started charging forward, essentially falling over the non-moveable turnstile.
  12. Whoever built that park must know how to play RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. I don't know of ANYWHERE ELSE where someone would come up with "hand sticking out of ground holding trident".
  13. It's unrealistic because of how you've marketed the ride. You market it as a Mega-Lite, and we expect a Mega-Lite. It's the same reason why I don't design my rides based off of manufacturers - people expect too much. It's a pretty good ride, though, don't get me wrong.
  14. Pressing Numpad 0 in the simulator will put it into recording mode. The frame rate will be very slow, but the finished video will be at full speed. When you've recorded all you want to, press Numpad 0 again and an AVI video file will appear in your screenshots directory. Windows Movie Maker takes AVIs for import and is a quick and easy way to slap a video together.
  15. Read THIS: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/faq.php
  16. Not likely. The support structure is designed to support both tracks at once. It's a little misleading because Batman's top hat supports are blue while Robin's cobra roll supports are red - but they're not separate structures - You can see how the half loops of the cobra roll are supported by the same structure supporting the top hat.
  17. What a surprise - another knock-off, it seems, or possibly a Hopkins ride. The Supersplash rides actually have rails in the middle of the channel, because they're essentially roller coasters. The one pictured in the park does not.
  18. It doesn't matter what year your submission is in, as long as it's submitted by Oct 31, Year 7 in-game or earlier.
  19. A.J. used Baton Pass! Great, because a day after you get back (leaving Monday mid-afternoon) I'll be heading down for IAAPA with my group for two days.
  20. WARNING! There's less than a week left! Get your entries submitted to the game exchange by close of business on Monday 14 November! CrazyParkManager wants to have all the entries in one place so he can take a look at them when he gets back from IAAPA.
  21. Can't wait to go! I'm really excited to see this show in person. Maybe I'll have my first near-death experience on a flatride!
  22. First one says "All Systems Go" and the second one says "Initiate Energy Transfer". Don't ask me why I remember that.
  23. Use Handbrake to encode the video. http://handbrake.fr/ Setting the preset to "normal" and encoding the video should give you a format you can import into iMovie.
  24. It's VERY cool that they're taking the projections to the next level by surrounding the castle with them. I haven't seen the show in six months - as of now, Magic Memories and You has only been on the castle's front, right?
