The Sanitarium [NL]
A.J. replied to Whathell05's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Can you release the track without the 3DS? The pack extractor doesn't work with Mac OS 10.7. -
Neeeooooo! Leave meeee out of this!

That attitude is funny, partially because half of the games forum doesn't spend every waking moment of their out-of-school lives playing these games...

Schwarzkopf Monster accident
A.J. replied to simon8899's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Was the Absoluter (Sound Factory/Parkour) actually a Monster ride? I thought it was its own unique thing. -
This is why I always say "You might want to..." or "Have you considered..." because it shows I respect the creator's decision even though I have my own opinion. Honestly, this sort of drama doesn't need to happen on this forum, especially coming from young teenagers. If you don't have something constructive to say, don't say it. EDIT: And also the fact that a NewElement spotlight doesn't mean diddly squat. AND ANOTHER THING: A lot of these players that showcase their stuff at NewElement don't realize that our game community is an extremely casual one.

Oh, by the way... I had no idea that the park you put in the Preview thread was the new challenge. Honest! No idea!

TPR CHALLENGE: Village Gardens

Maybe I'll get to meet CrazyParkManager at IAAPA! I'll give it a go later this week. Exams are a [censored]. -

His are pretty thick though. It's a good idea to have a little bit of overhang on either side as well. -
Aha, so they are. Never noticed that before. Thanks for knighting me "Sir Point-out-the-obvious-alot".

The "Preview" Thread
A.J. replied to DBru's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Ah. You might want to take the blue coaster (obviously a coaster designed to be made by he-who-must-not-be-named) and raise it in its entirety up by five feet (one notch). That way, you can extend your queue line so it can go under the station. -
Hey guys! So, this crossed my mind a few minutes ago - do you split up the Coaster Expedition/RAW DVDs and Blurays into scenes or do one continuous video file? I've never bought a TPR DVD (I know, A.J. is such a loser, right?), and the only TPR DVD I actually have is RAW 4 as a downloadable copy, and it itself is one MP4 file. If you do split the DVDs and Blurays into scenes, have you ever split the downloadable copies up?

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread

I305 no. MF? I think the comparisons are easily there. Big lift, huge overbank, lower to the ground, couple airtime hills, all about speed. Look at those examples and tell me how you cannot compare the 2? I can compare all three, easily. All three of them are gravity-driven roller coasters with first drops of over 300 feet. There really isn't much else to it. All three are unique, all three are (or are going to be) kick-[censored] coasters. -
The "Preview" Thread

Looks like Vintage Acres. -snicker- -
I'm only concerned about retrofitting cruise control to it because I will have to drive at least one way between Orlando and Williamsport (my hometown) if I do end up purchasing a car. Interstate 95 is a dreary drive, and will take me two days, average of nine hours of driving per day to go one way. I'm concerned about getting a car in the first place because of my unfamiliarity with the Lynx bus system and the uncertainty of where I will be living at that time (I could get a great deal on an apartment, but that apartment could be twenty miles from WDW).

General Public...a myth?
A.J. replied to paulm12's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That about hits the nail on the head right there. When I would go into the Magic Kingdom park on my days off (Space Mountain <3), I could easily tell who had left their common sense at their hotel and who hadn't. For example, I would be in the queue for, yes, Space Mountain, and then I would board. I would immediately turn my backpack around and wear it forward, then pull the lap bar down, and I would be ready to go within about five seconds, not only because I had been on the ride enough times to know to do that, but also because I am aware of the safety procedures that go on about boarding an attraction. It's the "general public" who leave their sense at the hotel and have no idea what to do when boarding an attraction even with the massive amount of signage Walt Disney World puts in front of their rides. It's the "general public" who really don't care about how an attraction works or the overall experience of an attraction, as long as it's a "new ride", such as the case with Cedar Fair's Dinosaurs Alive. -
Okay, so, since I'm still employed at Walt Disney World and I have to go down there in the summer to keep my job, I'm going to need a car - I'm considering looking at a Mark III (US model year 1994 to 1998?) Volkswagen Golf. I love hatchbacks. I also read somewhere that you can retrofit cruise control to them, which is a plus, as I would be traveling a lot. Thoughts?

Parc Asterix Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to sebastienstuff's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's about time some park had the balls (and the perfect sue-happy neighbor-less location) to leave the track spines hollow. The roar of that inverted coaster sounds fantastic! -
Shane's Amusement Attic
A.J. replied to montezooma's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wish Vekoma would have went forward with the train design for Gravity Max. I think it looks a lot better than the sideless trains they put on Rolling X Train and PowerPark's boomerang. -
Weird roller coasters.
A.J. replied to Rct3man777's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cool & Fresh, a traveling Euro-fighter knockoff. The brakes keep the car at a constant speed until it's back down to just being a vertical drop, and then it's a trip through rough, un-heartlined track. It's one of those "Coaster enthusiasts hate it, but the public eat it up because they want to say they rode a roller coaster with an upside down drop to their friends who really couldn't care less" coasters. -
Legoland Florida Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ah. I was thinking "Windsor, Ontario". I'm an idiot. Does this mean that the forum title is going to change to "Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Giant Lego Men" now?
