  1. As an aside, I wonder why Premier decided to ditch the staggered seating of the old train for a typical four-across arrangement. Once again, less expensive, perhaps?
  2. Oh yeah, of course. On all three counts. As long as SOMETHING is there. It's probably a little more simple and a little less expensive the way it is in the renderings though.
  3. Oh yeah, sure. I was merely trying to make a point that I think the huge investment in 2001 sort of put Six Flags America in a "hole" that they seem like they can't get out of.
  4. Here's the thing - Six Flags did invest in the park. TREMENDOUSLY. Two-face, Joker's Jinx, Great Chase, Looney Tunes Movie town, and other flats in 1999. Superman and two flats in 2000. Batwing and a Skycoaster in 2001. When you put all sorts of amazing new attractions in at once or in a short period of time, you generate a lot of buzz, which is great. Unfortunately, when that buzz drops off like...Wile E. Coyote with an anvil tied to his ankle off a cliff, you're stuck. All that money that you spent to build all those new attractions isn't getting payed back any time soon... EDIT: Not picking on you, honest. DOUBLE EDIT (Z0MG!): Six Flags and their surprises...we all assumed Apocalypse was getting a new set of trains. Trolololol?
  5. DING DING DING! And the gentleman wins the Rock of Gibraltar! Aren't pipe dreams wonderful? I used to pipe dream all the time about imaginary layouts for rides for my favorite parks. No, a hyper can't easily go into most parks. In fact, no permanent roller coaster can "easily" go into most parks. Concept, design, approval, revision, construction, completion, opening, complaining, re-profiling, sickness, death, constipation - all those things (well, maybe not those last few) go into the development of a new roller coaster. You can't just call B&M up and have them magically plop a new hypercoaster in place. Oh, I know! Let's build a roller coaster that runs constantly every day right next to an office building! I'm sure they won't mind the constant screaming and roar of the trains as they go by every two minutes when they're having an important business meeting! They're probably talking about what color ties to wear to work or what shades of black their BMWs are! They obviously have nothing important to do. Maybe all they do is sit around all day and see who can fart the loudest! Seriously, parks make "yes" and "no" decisions for a reason. They obviously started development on the latest ride years ago. They know 10^23 times better how to run their park than most of us ever will.
  6. They have to have shoulder harnesses though. You're held completely face-down for a period of time. There has to be something keeping your upper body from falling forward, and, um, re-arranging your spine.
  7. You're not going to be able to have a good support structure for that last small spiral. Otherwise, looks great so far. Thanks for the plug.
  8. Here's the thing - Small World doesn't bother me. I'm into orchestrated music. The "It's a Small World" theme has a different variation in each room, and that alone makes the tune a lot more bearable. I miss the Firehouse already - that was the best spot to be when the Electrical Parade started!
  9. Flash Player making my CPU run at 113%... Yeah, I'm definitely signing off. Hopefully I'll have my place tomorrow morning.
  10. Ah, okay. So, as long as I have a connection when I open up the window again, I must be good. Good.
  11. You're like...really close behind me. For all you "experienced" Santa Claw-ers - do I have to keep the window open at all times and have a constant internet connection at all times to keep my place in line? I'm constantly switching between ethernet and wireless and have points where I have no connection at all.
  12. There goes me not reading words again. "The line will be paused from 5:00 to 9:00". Well, that explains it. I'm in, now. Hopefully the line will last the 13 hours it says it will last, because my Statics class doesn't get out until 10am.
  13. "Looks like the line is full..." I'll try again tomorrow morning.
  14. As stupid as it would be to just have Forbidden Journey as a stand-alone attraction amongst the other giant boxes at USH, I wouldn't mind that. Back earlier this year when I was at WDW, I had a lot of guests tell me about "Harry Potter World" when I asked about how they're enjoying their stays (they ALWAYS bring up Universal in Magic Kingdom, I wonder if they bring up WDW when talking with people at USF?). It's becoming quite the conversation-carrier. Having the full-blown area at USH sort of defeats the purpose of Wizarding World being a world that only exists in one place.
  15. Fifteen hours, five minutes. I'll be dead by then.
  16. 226 feet tall, just under 6000 feet in length. Would be the 9th longest operating coaster in the world if built.
  17. Coral Snake took me a while to finish completely. Unfortunately, this one is going to take even longer... Coming (not?) soon, from AJ.
  18. I wish that they would paint the rails as well. Cedar Point's Mantis got its rails repainted a little while ago, and it made a world of difference IMO.
  19. Yeah, this is the first time I've actually done a CoasterTube upload in a while, so I hadn't noticed before. It might just be me. If needed, I'll take fifteen minutes or so tomorrow and put together a quick screen-capture video.
  20. Fifty posts is the number. But, as long as you PM your link to any of the forum moderators (In this forum, they are myself, QueerRudie, djbrcace1234, and mcjaco), and we okay it, you don't have to have that number. We know the links you post are to legitimate, well-made stuff (which OMG this definitely is), but the rules are the same for everyone.
  21. The track is now uploaded on the NoLimits Exchange. Feel free to download it there and rate at as well. Thanks everyone for your support, I appreciate it. I'm just as proud of this ride as I was of Frenzy when I debuted it.
  22. I use 1.32, and I have no problems whatsoever.
  23. You got it! When I was in the early stages of this ride's development, it was supposed to be a replacement for BGW's Loch Ness monster, and it was going to feature interlocking loops. However, I didn't want to restrict myself to the terrain of the Rhine River or face comments such as "the height of that cliff is too high", so I went completely custom. Remember that the track should be judged on its own merits, and not based upon other rides made by B&M. GAME EXCHANGE LINK Feel free to download, ride, and RATE it! NOLIMITS EXCHANGE LINK If you have an account there, go ahead and RATE it! 24. Just tried it with the latest versions of Firefox and Chrome (by uploading a "test" video), and got the same result - the uploading bar appearing for a split second.
  25. I don't think it's necessary to post an advert for NewElement's contest. A lot of our members who play RCT2 probably know about the contest anyway. If they really want to talk about NewElement's contest, they could just chat about it like they usually do.
