PortAventura Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to Shockwave's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's a form of discrimination, that's what it is. PortAventura does prohibit people from taking personal items on rides, but the last time I checked, your eyes don't count as a "personal item". Immoral/illegal practices aside, more pictures of dirt aren't going to make me any more excited about a roller coaster I will probably only ride once in my entire life. It's only a matter of time before the coaster is visible from everywhere else in the park though. -

I would, but I can't find a support cleaner that will get rid of wooden supports. The one in DasMatze's Utilities is okay, but it leaves some supports behind and when I re-open my game, it's like I never even used it. -

Wasn't around much yesterday. Curious - why'd we pull this?

The cars look like Chevrolet Volts. Hopefully the refurbishment (if there is one) will be finished by the end of May. -

Ah, okay. Thankfully, I have some water effects, so I'll think of something. -

So, would placing track just under the water surface create a water splash effect? Or is there something else? -

A mixture of new and old. The layout is complete, but the presentation is preliminary. Coming soon, from AJ. -
Chadster's Vacation Adventures: Final Edition!
A.J. replied to chadster's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Dollywood and Silver Dollar City are my two favorite parks that I've never been to. I love how they look so much. I wish more parks would call up B&M to build more Sitting coasters. I really want to ride a looping B&M with those open trains. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread

Can we please stop talking about the tiny line in the middle of that section of track? There's nothing installed there yet, so we have nothing to worry about. -

Two things - A) Never upload/showcase your first few coasters in NoLimits. Take a long while to get to know the game before showcasing a track. B) Change your avatar. You're confusing me! -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It's always the most visually-underwheming coasters that end up being the best ones. I keep my expectations low for every new coaster, because that way I always come off impressed and jump right back in the queue. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No offense, but I'd bet that this whole "Hersheypark doesn't know what they're doing" conversation could quite possibly meet the same fate as the previous one... -
I've never been on Wooden Warrior or Twister, but the Timberliner car that Gravity Group had on display at IAAPA this year was absurdly comfortable. It seems as though all of the coasters that Gravity Group designed but M&V built (or, in this case, are building) have the PTC trains. Boardwalk Bullet, Fireball, Zippin Pippin, and these new racers were all built by M&V. Twister and Wooden Warrior were designed and built by Gravity Group; Hades and Voyage were built before the Timberliner trains were debuted.

Yes, it's a teething problem that we've been working on. Right now, the Game Exchange and the Forum don't communicate with each other, so you have to log into the Game Exchange to download a file even if you're already logged into the forum. Locked.

Oy. He's asking for another post in the thread with "one or two shots". -

The track is actually wider than the "normal" Intamin track to accommodate for the four-across trains. -

I'll gladly take the floor seats. I always take whichever seat is closest to the centerline of the track. I'm floored. I had assumed after the second hill and turn that the train was going to meander through the wavy section before turning again. That's a really neat looking dive right there. -

Fahrenheit is NOT lousy! It's my favorite roller coaster with inversions. It's not a crazy airtime machine, it's not a positive-G monster, but it is wicked fun. -

Oh, sure, just keep rubbing it in. I'll be down in Orlando Memorial Day weekend anyway, so it really doesn't matter. But it's a constant reminder of "what could have been".
