  1. Bad news from Skara More as I find out what the investigation says.
  2. If nobody else is interested in this thread I will stop posting, if you are interested let me know. From the park's Facebook.
  3. "Grab a Snicker's bar, it's going to be a while" was recently posted by the park on Facebook.
  4. To me it looks like Karacho can actually put up a decent fight against Blue Fire, assuming it's not to rough, which I doubt it will be as most new Gerstlauer's don't have a problem with roughness, and this one has brad new developed and improved trains with the biggest wheels Gerstlauer have ever done on a ride. The length and the pacing seems to be about the same on both coasters. Really can't wait to try this one out!
  5. Log on to the parks Facebook and tell them your story. That's the most effective way to get a response, and make the park aware of it. I'm sure that they already knows about the problem, but the more people that tell them, the better!
  6. Both the wave pool and the river looks to be to small, and they both look pretty lame in wave size and river strength. And the park need more capacity pretty badly. Sound like this would be a great solution for them: Extreme River
  7. And possibly the coolest looking splash battle ever as well. I'm so tired of the pirates theme all the other ones have.
  8. If you ask them they will build one, as said above nobody has asked them yet (or at least not gone through with the deal).
  9. Makes me happy to read this. This water park is no doubt one of my most wanted to visit.
  10. www.vegasinc.com/news/2013/jun/28/despite-delay-work-continues-southern-nevadas-seco/#/0 Construction will start again in September. But this is probably what I find most interesting in the article: I wonder what it could be... These blueprints of the park show a speed slide tower in the upper right corner, where it also says "(future)", maybe that's what they are planning to build straight away for the opening. Another ride I would like to see at this park is the brad new Polin Magic Sphere ride. When I first saw the concept art of this ride I thought it was ugly and looked lame, but when the first one in the world is starting to rise in thailand, I have really changed my opinion and it really looks awesome. 11. Yeah, this was the main reason I thought of. It's really not that great of a coaster and my last visits it seems to never have any line, despite single train operations. I can only imagine the effect Helix will have in ridership on it.
  12. All the other times the park has built a big thrill coaster, the old one has been removed. Except Balder but he's wooden without any loops.
  13. I wonder how long Kanonen will get to stay in the park.
  14. So I went to Tusenfryd today to check out Thor's Hammer. (I never go on a weekend, but I really wanted to try the new ride). I have not done any of the world's most impressive dark rides at Universal or Disney, and my favortie one to date is Maus au chocolat at Phantasialand. The story is basically that the evil god Loke steals the hammer from Thor, and you will help him get it back. It's a pretty big investment for the park, and the result is kind of impressive. For being Tusenfryd the theming is exceptional, and the theme song was very cool as well. The only thing to complain about is the roof in the queuing area, it could be much nicer if they had decided to go with some themed wooden planks, instead of the black steel roof it has now. Other than that it is very well done. The ride itself was kind of a let down, as it's more for children and families, and it was over way to quickly. It probably should have been twice the length for me to be satisfied with it, but the space was very limited, since they used the old cave. Overall it's a very good addition to the park, and I think it will be very popular for years to come, but it's just not what I was excepting from all the art work. It was very difficult to get good photos from inside the cave, since it was very popular and full all day, but I did my best. And also gotta give the usual shout out to Tusenfryd's staff, GET MORE EFFECTIVE! Brad new ride that can accommodate 6 persons per vehicle and they were leaving with only 3-4 persons. The big ass walk down to the Super splash and Thor's Hammer area. Ta-da, the dragon head is gone. It looks rather good, even though I preferred the dragon head. Thor's Hammer. The ride sign. Big ass sword, right inside. Entrance to the right, exit and gift shop to the left. It leads straight into the big queue chamber. It was hard to get a good photo from in here, finally caught a moment were the queue emptied out for a few minutes. Some of the old Nordic characters Let's have a look at the area on the right of Supersplash. Up here is the Viking village. It's a pretty big area. And it's closed this year. Could it be to make way for a new attraction? It would make sense for them to keep expanding this area, so that the walk down here would be more worth it. They could easily fit a pretty big family roller coaster here. As you can see, they have enough room to the left of the Super splash (where the Viking Village is now) to build a roller coaster. A viking themed Gerstlauer spinning would be and awesome addition to the area and the park.
  15. This looks terrifying. I wonder who's making it, maybe they build this one themselves.
  16. This just got extremley interesting! And one more, look at that awesome RTM manufactured family slide. From the park's facebook.
  17. So I had to go to Skara and check out the new expansion of the water park. Skara is a pretty small park, but it has some great features for families. For me however Skara has always been a water park, and therefore I am really excited for the last two years additions from Proslide. I only took some pictures from the water park, therefore I won't do a new thread for these pictures. It just looks so good. Nice landscaping around concrete slide. This is how it looked just a few months ago. And look at it now. It's so steep. Trap door porn. This one had a really comfortable shut down lane, however it's still a high speed slide, so after about 10 rides my back prevented me from more rides. Wave pool and concrete slide. Very well done tunnel down into the abyss. Last years addition, a Proracer that was just as awesome as all the other Proslide mat racers. And one last picture from earlier. I think they should keep focus on the water park side of things fore a few more years. Most things in there except these two new additions is very outdated, and we only rode the rides that were not one of the two new ones once. The tivoli and coaster side of the park are very good for families as it is now, and I think the water park is in more urgent need of investments. A mammoth family raft, a Tornado and maybe something like below would be great additions to it.
  18. Those looks awesome! It's not, it's the same train as The Smiler, only with 2 cars.
  19. No problem, as long as the park wanting it pay up.
  20. No doubt that must have hurt like hell, no matter what gender it might be on that person.
  21. I wonder if the seats will "loose" on the way down so that you brake upright, or if they will stay face forward.
  22. That magnetic launch sound gives me goose bumps. Am I weird?
  23. It has to be from Intamin, it just has to.
