  1. That is ridiculously great news!!
  2. That sounds pretty sweet as well!
  3. Still can't believe this is 2.5 hours down the road!
  4. I am really surprised at how much these UFOs are leaning downwards. This one will probably be even more crazy than the one at Tenerife! Source It's not a blaster slide, it's a new tope of water driven coaster who is pretty much the water driven equivalent of the LIM driven ones.
  5. I'm suspecting that we may see a future relocation of either the 2nd gen drop tower or the S&S tower or maybe even both. Skara is in need of a new major attraction, and Parks and Resorts have communicated that they will need to make a major investment there soon. Also Kolmården will probably need more rides to entertain all the new visitors that Wildfire will bring in, but it's hard to see them get a permission for a tower ride within the next few years. Maybe even Furuvik could be considered. Is there any park that have relocated a 2nd gen Intamin drop tower?
  6. It could most likely be done in a more regular way, but on the other hand they got a patent on the saucer turns, so there have to be something unique about them. I think the visual effect of the saucer is pretty awesome Two new great photos of this beast to be! Source
  7. I just remembered the april fools joke that turned out to be true, they are gonna tell us what it is June 7th!!
  8. Another photo from yesterday, they sure are hauling ass! Source
  9. I guess the main reason is that it would be a real hassle to cut it, it probably couldn't be done by anything else than a man with a hand pushed lawn mover on that slope and under all those low slides. Grass grows in uneven sunlight allover. Also modern slides don't really leak any water.
  10. Ready for opening! Unfortunately the park is cheeping out and taking the easy way out by not adding grass beneath it. I think it's a real bummer since it was real photogenic before. The overall impression now takes a turn downwards. Either way should be an awesome ride!
  11. Welcome to socialist Europe. All public pools are always run with a big loss. People never realizes that the subsidized entry prices is coming from their own tax money. Not saying it shouldn't be that way for a public pool, but tax financed businesses is almost always hugely ineffective.
  12. Hey, it's my lamp on a cruise sip, how nice isn't that!
  13. Looks like they wanted a B&M hyper but they wanted Intamin to build it! This do however seem lika a better ride than a B&M hyper. Love the look of that outward banked hill!
  14. I agree, bring out the drone again! A big drone flight over the whole ride would be awesome!
  15. The small park Super Aqua Club outside Montreal, Canada is installing a new ride for 2016. It's a Proslide RocketBlast combined with the Flying Saucer turns. There's only one other ride like this and it turned out to be award-winningly awesome. I'm really excited to see another one of these built and can't wait for the final result. There are no renderings or anything available, just a very limited number of construction photos: If you don't know what type of ride this is take a look at this: Source
  16. Looks like track completion, apart from the first drop, should be any day now!
  17. Sorry it can't be done, I asked about it and the new trains is wider in order to accommodate the lapbar on both sides of the seat. Converting to lapbar would mean that you have to buy a new train. Main problem here is that there are two different tracks on Colossus and the new intamin rides, the new rides is much more wide. It would require a custom made undercarriage and there would probably be a problem with the clearance.
  18. That looks like a mighty nice ride!
  19. Testing! Here's two new photos: Unfortunately the park have been hit by a big fire that completely destroyed one of the restaurants (the one next to the place where you can grill yourself).
  20. The trick to get the seat to spin on the Sky Roller is to rock the wings back and forth. Start one way and when it starts to tilt that way then change it to the other way and when it start to change to that way change it to the other way again. The rides are very bad for people with shorter arms though, you need to flip the wings as far as they go in order to manage a flip, Johanna can for an example never manage that and for that see hates the Sky Rollers. It usually takes a few rides to figure it out, but IMO they should have an instructural video in the queue or something as it can be frustrating for people who never finds out. Great photos btw!
