  1. I love what Mack wrote on their Facebook!
  2. No, they are more like motels, it's not very common with hostel's here, people tend to like privacy. Key words are "minimalistic" and "non-modern". One thing you can do, that's right next to Liseberg is this! Check out this site for things you can experience close to Kolmården, and this for things in Göteborg. There's probably a lot of things you can see in-between, I will look into it later, I'm rather busy at the moment
  3. Fresh from Instagram! Source
  4. Go in the summer, it's much nicer to visit in July/august despite being the high season. There's no real pattern for how crowded the parks will get on specific days, it's all weather dependent here. Nice and sunny = packed park. (Obviously it's also more people on the weekends). If you will use the trip as a mini-vacation then I would definitely recommend staying at a real hotel even if they are expensive. If you are just going for riding coasters and have a great time and the accommodation is not a high priority, search for a "vandrarhem". Euro is not widely accepted here. Also we are one of the least cash-using countries in the world, card's are accepted everywhere. If you have a Mastercard or a Visa the I would go with that. If you like the secure feeling you can just exchange a small amount of euro to sek before you're coming and have as a backup. There are things to do if you like to spend a few days, but it's hard to say without knowing your interest's. Obviously it will be much more things to do in Göteborg compared to Norrköping. As Viking said, have you considered Gröna Lund? It's just as awesome as the other two parks! You won't have any problem with food, you will probably almost feel like at home (except we can eat a sauce to everything..). Finding meatballs in a restaurant is actually a lot harder than one would think Remember that Kolmården is not that much of an amusement parks, even with Wildfire it's still a zoo. I'll recommend that you check out all the park anyway as it's a real awesome place
  5. Actually it was a fellow swedish enthusiast who asked, but there's no reason to believe he's lying, and there's also no reason to believe Intamin was lying to him. Also the clearance seems a bit to small for winged trains at the bottom of the first drop and the loop, but since I have not designed this ride nor been on sight to see it myself this can be wrong. But from the look of the photos the clearance look very tight for winged trains.
  6. Sorry, the ride will have regular trains.
  7. Sunway Lagoon was a really big surprise for me, the park is very nice and clean and the water park is totally awesome! Also that water-mouse in the video looks better than 90% of todays wild mouse coaster's.
  8. Ride operator hit by coaster! Source
  9. It's actually not as complicated as one think when you start looking into the diagram. This is very representative:
  10. That's most likely a model of the 135 feet one going to Canada's Wonderland. We don't know anything about the size of the one going to Liseberg, but since both S&S towers are leaving I would like to think that it will be just as tall as the one CW is getting.
  11. Here's a really great interview to read! www.blooloop.com/features/parks-and-resorts-scandinavia/36259#.Vhl79OlaLFl
  12. Some great photos from Whitewater's installation in the Xishuangbanna park! Source
  13. These foundations just look so weird, can't wait to see what they have in store for us!
  14. If the pacing is anything like in the video this will be better than sex! Here's some great photo's from the park's cable car showing of the awesome view:
  15. That looks great, it will be more compact than I first thought!
  16. I still think it's an over banked 180 turn
  17. Love this shot from their Facebook! TC was a great ride before, and I've heard this was also the case for the one's in Holland and Belgium. I would say that it's like the other wooden coasters in the world, if you don't take care of more than you absolutely have to, then they will slowly die.
  18. Even if it is another company who is doing this it could actually be a good thing. Something similar gave us NTAG. I still doubt it though. Yeah but that UAE coaster is like santa claus, a lot of people have heard of it, but nobody have actually seen it.
  19. PLEASE bring me some awesome Proslide footage!
