  1. Congratulations to Lagoon for such an awesome ride! It sure looks like a park with a lot of soul and a different way of doing things. As much as it really sucks that you broke your ankle you sure did it with the right person! Let's hope it heals well and quickly!
  2. This is totally awesome! The park due pull in a decent amount of visitors so it's great to see it getting some love.
  3. It's probably a capacity thing. They have gotten the place reopened now and operated it for a while. They know how many guests the park attracts and they probably don't have the need for another coaster right now.
  4. Off topic, but Sander never said no, he was simply expressing their opinion on it, and that they believed it took away from the traditional feel of a wooden coaster. If someone approached them and wanted it they would deliver it like they always do! And a tall Vekoma is still a Vekoma. I would be interested too see it happen though!
  5. It is possible but the problem with LSM launches is that they are very intense in the beginning but fade away toward the end. It would need a rather long launch track, and in these kind of speeds it would take several seconds longer than the hydraulic one. I also suspect the energy recovery system would be rather complex. Also the advantage with the hydraulic launch is that you can put a rather long train on it without increasing the power consumption noticeably even if you are talking about a 160mph launch.
  6. I haven't seen your post, I can do Sunday 30th August if you want! Unfortunately I have some exams to catch up with before that date..
  7. I had a really awesome day! Really bummed that Saw was closed, I really like that ride, but it's for the best. I rode Slammer for the first time, been spited by it earlier. It was just awesome. Really really awesome. The ride cycle was totally crap though, it was over way too fast. The ride accelerated and did one full speed flip before it slowed down and reversed. Not cool for such an awesome ride. To bad S&S couldn't made the ride simpler and sell more. I had totally forgotten how awesome Nemesis Inferno is! It's my favorite B&M ride of the ones I've done, and easily the most intense new school B&M, but on the other hand it is the last Stengel B&M... It's like the perfect mix for both enthusiasts and regular guests. We rode this probably twice as much as any other ride. Stealth was just as great as I remembered it. It's the most awesome ride in the park even though Nemesis is better overall. We marathoned it probably 10 times the last half an hour. It was pure heaven! The Swarm was a lot better than I expected! I have read so much negativity about it that I don't know what I expected. The ride was awesomely fun. I didn't expect it to be a mind blowing top 10 ride, an it delivered as really great fun experience. Swarm backwards in the last row is probably one of the most fun ride experiences I've ever had! Unfortunately this is the only good thing I have too say about The Swarm this time. One train was dow for maintenance so it was a one train operation the whole day. Nothing too bad, but we had to wait 30 minutes every go because the fast track entres the regular queen so early. I don't think this is anywhere near acceptable when we paid over 200 quid for our both tickets. Also they closed the ride two hours earlier for "scheduled maintenance". This is also totally unacceptable in my world, you keep your "scheduled maintenance" after opening hours. Otherwise everything was really great! Can't wait too see what the new ride is, the area closed of for it is rather big. We ended up eating at the barbecue at Slammer. We didn't planned it, I just got hit with a massive hunger attack and took the closest restaurant. The food was great, nothing to complain about really. Didn't take that many photos, so no real photo report this time, but here are a few: This wasn't as rough as last time I visited. Still I can only take two rides in a row before getting nauseas. Still one of the most awesome rides in the world! Pure awesomeness! Great ride! Evil awesome monster ride from hell! Easily my favorite in the park!!
  8. Please forgive me, I simply couldn't resist it
  9. Damn that is a really awesome looking layout The Kingdom will have quite the two punch combo now, and I also love that they are matching the name with Lightning Run. I really hope we see more of these inverted drops in the future!
  10. Imagine Aqua Trax trains on this beast!
  11. I can with 100% certainty say that RMC will construct a launch coaster within the next 100 years. The hydraulic launch is very reliable, when they break down it is almost always due to software problems with the computer system.
  12. Awesome!! I really like the look of these rides, and people say that they are awesome!
  13. I'm definitely not holding my breath on this one. The politicians in Göteborg will kill it!
  14. Awesome! Glad you enjoyed the ride, it really looks fenomenal! This photo is really cool!
  15. I always found the second twisted hill on Speed Monster out of place. I would have very much enjoyed the double corkscrew the ride originally was designed with!
  16. Here's some photos of the flat rides! Mach tower clone One of these KMG creations Disk-O Air Race Fabbri Pandemodium SBF SpinCycle Fabbri Booster Zamperla Giant Discovery Ferris Wheel The second smaller frisbee looks to be a Moser creation Looks just like Moser drop towers restraints Source Source
  17. The frisbee closest to the camera is a Zamperla giant one, but the other one looks to be a bit smaller. Not much but still. I would guess that it is probably Moser or Fabbri who is entering the giant frisbee market. Still dosen't explain why they have two... Good thing SpinSpider is not from Huss, then we wouldn't ride it until next season!
  18. Nice to see them abandon that old horrible Vekoma track!
  19. Had a chance to visit a few days ago and try out Hyper. The ride is a lot taller than it looks on the photos. It's the biggest mat racer I've come across so far, and I've done quite a lot of them now. The airtime is not quite as good on the last hill as the one in Skara but the height and speed more than make up for this. Simply said, it's totally awesome! The park also have a pretty big play structure which is nice. It lacks the interactive features on the decks which is really fun, but for Swedish standards it's very nice. The rest of the water park is pretty outdated, and there is a lack of attractions. They need a big pool who can keep people busy longer, something like a wave pool or a lazy river. Also more interesting slides would be nice. A good first step would be a 4-people slide with some kind of a feature like a Behemoth Bowl or a Tornado Wave, and then more tube slides. They should focus on Family-thrill slides the next years IMO. There is plenty of pools and slides for the little ones, which is the primary target audience, so that's all good. A few new Proslide Kidz slide's would be nice as well, but there's no immediate rush. Here's some photos! Hyper! It's very tall! The weather was awesome! Wheeeeee! I really like how they kept the old supports and was able to save on that! I would also like to see Finland's flag added to the ride. Play structure! It's made by the Indian company Arihant.
