  1. Yes, something like this is probably what happen. Just so unessesary
  2. Being able to have such a large open space in the middle of the ship requires a higher gross tonnage.
  3. Remember that there is a lot of dead space on the Oasis class of ship in the middle where the open promenade is. A ship can be a lot smaller with equal capacity without feeling crowded.
  4. Yup, it's elevated. I would say it's 100% impossible to fall from the platform. The platform is also not that tall, so I'm really surprised he passed away.
  5. Vekoma is responsible for the electronic system on the rides for Europe.
  6. Unfortunately there have ben a tragedy at Gröna Lund. Last Wednesday a person "fell" from the loading platform of Eclipse. The man landed on a woman below, who was injured but not very seriously. Tragically the man passed away today from the injuries he got from the fall. There isn't much info available on the fall, but it's like a cruise ship, you don't "fall" of them. From what I understand the man had finished his ride and jumped, instead of taking the stairs. I don't know, it sounds a bit like a teenager story of impressing people, or there might have been alcohol involved. Anyway stuff like this is just so god damn unnecessary!
  7. Canada's Wonderland and Carowinds say hello. Yes, but they built rides that were bigger than what they already had, which was the whole point of building them. I don't see why KD would install a B&M Hyper and say "come ride our new ride, it is similar to I305, only smaller".
  8. Yes, of course it is possible! They let a few people inside the station and then you queen up for the seat you want to sit in.
  9. I suspect that almost the entire ride will be made with that track, except the last bits.
  10. Sorry, there's no specific line for it.
  11. While it may be RMC remodeling the ride remember that Ed have been planning the reopening since before RMC became a thing, it could very well be someone else who is doing it.
  12. Looks like this ride will run in circles around Silver Star! (I know that most rides does..)
  13. The last stage is done, and the park is now fully built! Look at all these awesome slides! Love the water coasters Source
  14. All work at the factory has stopped, and they are working to solve the problem. They will however loose the money if the ride can't proceed, but most likely they would get an "credit" of the money not already spent on Wildfire and move the RMC to another park in the chain. I don't think it will come to that thankfully, but nevertheless the project will be more expensive with the delays. All the people at RMC seem to be awesome stand up guys, and I feel very confident that as soon as the permit for Wildfire comes they will all work their asses off to get it manufactured asap!
  15. And all hopes of ever getting Wildfire to open sometime in 2016 is officially gone I'm afraid. The park appealed to the higher Land and Environment Court and they were awaiting a hearing sometime this summer. It has however now been decided by "Supreme" Land and Environment Court that a small group of people who own a private road a bit further down the park has he right to appeal the project. Their right to appeal was overruled earlier by both the County Board and the Land and Environment Court. But now it has been decided that they should be allowed to appeal, and the case will go back to the County Board again. I'm not really following all the different directions this is taking, but I think that the case must now be treated by the County Board again before the Land and Environment Court can treat it, I don't think they will treat it parallel with each other. And we all know that the County Board isn't really that enthusiastic about the project as well.. I'm really starting to feel that Parks and Resorts should just invest the Wildfire money in the other parks for the next years, and start making a proper zoning plan for Kolmården, and then get Wildfire of the ground. There is just to much bureaucracy in this country..
  16. This is one of very few elements I'm absolutely dying to try out!
  17. Awesome photos! The mat-racer looks absolutely insane!
  18. Looks like Kärnan isn't the only big coaster this year with a complicated support structure! Also looks like it will get the same I-beam lift that Goliath and the new 10-inversion coasters have. Source
  19. Proslide posted a few photos of this park on their Facebook a few days ago and I had to find it. I did some google translating and a couple of google photo-searches and I found it! I will contunie to upload photos as I find them, and as they finish construction! These are the photos posted to Proslide's Facebook: And here's the photos I found: Kids zone! This tube complex will be awesome! Speed and mat slides! This one is awesome! The same family complex that seems to pop up all over China! Looks like the Ride-house will be a 500 model! And a wave pool, I don't know yet if it will be a hydraulic one or a regular air-driven one. It seems like Proslide got a bit of inspiration from Whitewater for this one It looks awesome! Here are the most interesting slides, gotta love Proslide's family slides! The speed mammoth looks awesome! Not to mention this Tornado! It has to be the tallest one they have made so far, as the one in Wuhan sitts on a slope. Just look at how tall it is! It's almost done. If your working in construction, this is probably as much fun as you can have I really like that for the big family slides in China Proslide seems to install separate stairs for every attraction. Yeah, I know that there is over a billion people over there... Love the wall! The colors are awesome! It's almost as the mammoth complex looks boring beside the Tornado complex, even though it will be awesome as well! And one last shot of the family slides. Can't wait to see the pipeline complex finished! Some awesome fiberglass waiting for assembling! Source Source
  20. Awesome to see such a big lift for Liseberg with Helix! For a park with those kind of visitor numbers an 8% increase for a new coaster is quite impressive!
  21. This sounds just like my dad whenever he comes home from the states!
