There really aren't any coasters to skip. Younger kids seem to love Corkscrew so don't skip that... Gemeni is a great coaster to re-ride as it rarely has a line and one fun thing to do is to line up right across from your son and both sit on the platform side of the station so you can slap hands on the turns. We loved doing that when we were kids... actually we still love doing that. By the way, Gemeni doesn't always race first thing in the morning so wait until later in the day and it probably will be. Also, here's a fun fact about Raptor. It's actually an outstanding Early Entry ride. I agree that on your first day you should enter the main gate for the experience, and then go right to Raptor and knock it out in 5 minutes (sit in the front). After that head back to Millennium or Maverick. Regarding Dragster, it's NOT open for Early Entry so plan accordingly. That's all I have on the coaster besides the standard tricks (FRONT SEAT of Mean Streak, Learn Forward and keep your seat off the seat back, middle row of any car on Blue Streak and tighten the living crap out of the seatbelt on Magnum for the most comfortable rides on these, front seat of Raptor because it only costs you an extra 5 minutes and it's great and front seat of Dragster because it's flat out mind-blowing even though it costs you an extra hour). As far as non coasters, don't miss Windseeker, Maxair, Cedar Downs or Skyhawk. And also, it's a huge park and 2 days can be exhausting so pace yourself and ride the train and Sky Ride as much as possible. The Sky Ride chews through it's line in no time, and the train has great capacity too. Ride the train from the station near Mean Streak as it's a much cooler ride with some fun theming. As far as food, I LOVE Famous Daves in the Marina (sit outside, you'll be in the shade and right on the water). It might be a tough sell with a kid who's eager to get back on the rides though as it's a sit down-relaxed (but very casual) meal. This might be a good option for Day 2. It sounds like you'll have a blast! Enjoy. -

Virtually everyone outside of the enthusiast community loves it and it's an absolute home run. The last 2 years it's had the highest ridership numbers in the park. Personally I like the ride quite a bit, it's not forceful at all but it's fun and I think enthusiasts are way too hard on it. Again... just my opinion though, your mileage may vary. -
Maverick vs Millennium Force
coasterbill replied to ImNotOneOfYou's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Both coasters are in my top 5 so it's hard to choose between them but if forced to do so I have to go with Millennium Force. -

That missing wheel cover on Nemesis Inferno is killing my OCD. Great pictures and report though. -
Worst Coaster Ever?

I personally find Gemeni to be one of the smoother arrows I've ridden. I don't consider it rough at all. -

I've never thought Hurler was all that bad. It's a completely average coaster as far as I'm concerned. It's not amazing, it's skippable but there's nothing all that wrong with it. I guess it's just me. -

^ If I were you I'd just make something up like "Oh yeah you can see some B&M pieces in Mean Streak's infield, you can get a great view of them from the mid course" just to force people to ride Mean Streak. .. it's the simple fun in life. -

No, you just hand them the printed voucher. -

Was the Banshee stream coming from the park or just some guy in the crowd on U-Stream? If that was from the park the quality was horrific. -
True, but budget is the big issue. The reason I grade on a curve with BGW is because I'm sure a regional park that's closed for part of the year and doesn't do nearly the numbers the large Orlando parks do didn't have anywhere near the budget of Disney, Universal or even Sea World (I know it's the same parent company but I'm sure they want an ROI on their new attractions so they do need to allot funds accordingly).

Hershey's Fast Track is a mess. Also, it doesn't seem to work on Laff Trakk which is one of the rides where you'd need it most. -
I don't think I've ever ridden a coaster smoother than a Batman clone. With very few exceptions, every B&M invert I've ridden is butter smooth. The only ones that throw me around / rattle at all are Raptor (actually my favorite invert), Alpengeist and Banshee near the back of the train. Those coasters aren't rough at all and they're all excellent but they're not quite as smooth as the others. I guess everyone is different but to me, basically every B&M invert is ridiculously smooth.

I'd say something about how I never go out of style but I really don't want to beat a dead white horse or we will never ever ever get back on topic. -

I'll give Cedar Fair credit, they're not overbearing with ads. Fun TV is a perfect example of this, it actually entertains people in line. Does it have an ad every now and then? Yes. But for the most part they have trivia, music videos and things that are there to keep the guests entertained. Six Flags TV on the other hand is getting absolutely unbearable. I'd much rather wait in line for a ride at Six Flags that doesn't have it and listen to music than endless commercials turned up to the max. -

What if they traveled through space and ended up in Alaska? I'm just kidding... that idea sucks and makes absolutely no sense and no park in their right mind would ever do anything that st... what? seriously? oh. -

I think putting a virtual reality element on an existing coaster is a really good idea... Just kidding it's ridiculously stupid. But if you can choose to ride it without the virtual reality element then I don't have an issue with it. The only way I'd like this idea was if they did it on Mean Streak and while you rode it you were on an animation of Mean Streak with iron horse track going through barrel rolls. Bonus points if they made in No Limits. Extra Bonus Points if they made it in Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. -
I looked and the literal only new thing i saw was a 10ft ladder leaning against the grandstand. The ladder was lying on the ground against the Grandstand today. It appeared to be a 12 foot ladder from the Skyride, but it is hard to tell from that far away. The ladder is designed to grow a foot each week until it reaches 13 feet (to equal the amount of coasters they have now... because El Diablo) and then a week later they'll give us an announcement date. Someone tell Tony Clark, they totally stole Cedar Point's idea.
