So what you're trying to say is that Pitt Fall had some pitfalls. How did nobody see that coming? -
Worst Coaster Ever?

I just really don't get why it would bother you that other people were having fun on the ride. Not everyone has to like the same things and who cares if they're "clueless" or not about coasters. They had fun, good for them, that's all that matters. I don't think anyone's getting "judge-y", I think we're all just confused as to why it would bother anyone. -

But I still love Magnum, the suspended coasters, Gemeni, Loch Ness Monster and the mine trains. -

I wish they had that as a Christmas Ornament. We're not big into magnets but we have a ton of park Christmas ornaments (have I mentioned how lucky I am to have met someone who puts up with this coaster crap?... because I'm pretty lucky, lol). -

I have to admit I like Mean Streak a lot. I can't explain why... the ride does absolutely nothing and I know that but just riding through the structure near the lake is pretty damn cool. Visually the ride and it's location are nothing short of stunning. Would I be said if they RMC it? Of course not. But until then I'll appreciate it for what it is. -

For Mean Streak that's a great plan. As others have said... front seat, lean forward and stay off the seat back. It's really smooth then (but still boring). For Blue Streak, just stay off the wheels. The front isn't overly smooth either, ride in the middle row of any car and you'll like it. It's a really fun little coaster in the right seat. -
Based on the POV it looks like it would make a really fun (though unorthodox) floorless. I still think they need to leave the Carowinds Vortex alone though and that's the only standup I'll say that about. The layout is way too boring without the standup gimmick and it's actually an enjoyable coaster.

The restraints haven't been improved and because of it some people love the ride and some people hate it but everyone's opinion is so different that it's the kind of ride you have to get out and try for yourself. Reading trip reports or other people's opinions won't get you anywhere with Skyrush. This is true of every coaster but it's especially true here. Just ride it and draw your own conclusions. -
When we rode Scream a few years ago we thought all of the complaining about it was totally overblown. It's possible that it's a wheel issue though if it's really that bad now. Nitro's been having issues with them and it really feels like riding on a jackhammer when it happens. I'd assume they'll fix it and the ride will be back to normal eventually (I was going to say "soon" but it's Magic Mountain so I went with "eventually").

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread

Didn't Banshee only bring about a 1% attendance increase to Kings Island? I don't know all of the factors that play into that and don't pretend to but since this park is basically on cruise control I wonder if they're in a big hurry to add a new coaster (especially one as expensive as a giga). I'm sure they'll add one in a few years but they're doing just fine. Then again I'm on the outside looking in and I acknowledge that I'm no expert in this area. -

I think people are seriously underestimating how good Giant Frisbees actually are. -

Now that's just a ridiculous assumption and honestly I'm a little offended by that. ... I'm offended that you think I'd have a porn folder named porn. Everyone knows if you have a porn folder you need to name it "Proposals for Work" or "Archived Files", you don't name it porn. Give me a little credit, lol. -
I feel like I should be more excited than I am but since Six Flags doesn't seem to want to spend much money on new coasters I only get excited for their new additions when I hear rumors of an RMC. Maybe that's unfair of me but I got way more excited about Cedar Fair announcements. Then again, they already announced Holiday in the Park this year and I'm so happy about that announcement that I don't care if they go 10 years without another significant coaster. I already got what I want.

^ Agreed. Maxair is outstanding. -
I'm sure once in a blue moon they do if enough busses come in but personally I've never seen it and I've been going to the park for over 10 years multiple times a summer so it's very rare, and like you said even on their busiest day it's nothing compared to how swamped the other parks in the area can get. I want to point out too that when I talk about the lack of crowds I'm not making a joke or making fun of them... it's a good thing (from our perspective). Dorney brings in a ton of people, the last 2 times we went we parked in the overflow lot under the main road but even then the coasters were walk ons. The park seems to be doing just fine, the coasters just aren't the draw, the water park is. I like Dorney and I like visiting partially because they never have lines. I'm not bashing them, but it's amazing that they never have lines for the coasters.
