For everyone as nerdy as me Gatekeeper's getting evaced on Cam 1. The train in the mid course was stopped at the base of the lift and was sent up after being stuck for about 10 minutes but the other trains never advanced so it block stopped. -

Or if it IS the Knotts Version... From the Knotts press release... Of course I immediately thought of Dorney but they already have one. -

If it is a dark ride it's also possible that if it's a dark ride it will tie into the Racer and the Coney Mall / Americana style theme park theme (which would make sense since the other dark rides are themed to the park / location they're in and this one would require you to walk under the Racer and is located within the rides turnaround). -

I should PM you truck stop pictures all day now and see if you can name them. If you can let's go hustle people at bars. Just be like "You show me a picture of a truck stop and I'll bet I can tell you where it is I'll bet you $20". Let's make this happen... we'll split the money but I get 60% because it was my idea. -

Nope... it's easy. You just need to measure the spine size variations, compare them to the nearest object with known dimensions, then check the acute obtusity of the isosceles tangent, divide by pi and carry the 2. I did all of these calculations this morning on my TI-83 + and then used Autocad to render everything out, this is what I came up with... I'm good at math. I'm smart -

Who's thirsty this morning? Get your drinks ready. Anyway... look at this speculation. I keep hearing about nostalgia and how Cedar Fair is out looking for nostalgic rides, then I hear about the Racer Midway but nobody seems to know exactly what's coming. Well behold! I have the perfect plan! It has nostalgia! It has the Racer Midway! It has Family Fun for everyone! Come on Kings Island, make it happen! DISCLAIMER: THIS HAS A 0% CHANCE OF HAPPENING. BUT YOU'RE WELCOME FOR THE GREAT IDEA KINGS ISLAND... YOU'RE WELCOME. ALSO, THEY WOULD GET NO R.O.I. ON THIS... NONE, LOL -

Can I just go back to this for a minute? How can you even begin to be able to tell all the Petro / TA truck stops apart? There's got to be at least a hundred of them across the country (probably many more) EDIT: 249 apparently. If you could really do that based on pictures that show as little as that one I'd be amazed (and a little concerned lol). Even if you were a trucker my mind would be blown, lol. "The view from my Cedar Point hotel room this morning..." (kbups53 @ Reddit) That's pretty much exactly where they put Maverick's track isn't it? -

Yeah I highly doubt this has anything to do with Racer. -
Most Overrated coaster?
coasterbill replied to BlackWidow's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
No. It has a trim near the end of the ride (though I believe for a short time it did have a trim on the drop in it's debut season). Personally I think the ride is absolutely insane and the only other coaster I've ridden with those types of out-of-control transitions is Maverick. "Controlled" and "Predictable" don't come to mind for me with I305. -

I think Banshee is a great coaster but a middle of the road B&M invert (that statement only make sense because I love every B&M invert I've ridden, they're all outstanding rides). I'd put it way below inevrts like Afterburn, Montu and Alpengeist which are far more snappy and forceful and more in like with rides like Talon and Silver Bullet (both of which I greatly enjoy, but they're a step below those top tier inverts). -

I think they need an actual log flume that gets people moderately wet but not soaked. Shoot the Rapids generally soaks people, and I doubt anyone would buy one of those after the accident (though we don't know what caused it or what was done to correct it). -

This park needs a log flume so badly it's kind of ridiculous. I know it's rare to see a brand new log flume at a corporate park (for some reason) but they really need to invest in one. -
That's incredibly fun. Very clever! I mean... yeah it'll encourage a lot of people to post on social media and take pictures while driving but I'm sure it's intended for passengers or people that see the trucks while not behind the wheel. People are idiots though so it's bound to happen... but that's not Sea World's fault or their problem. Great idea.

Everything at Cedar Point seems to be very well maintained aesthetically except for Raptor. I agree that it needs a paint job, and it really needs work in the station. It's dark (at night) and dated. Also, I think most of all it needs bright, white lights like Gatekeeper has. Skip to 1:00... and compare Raptor to Gatekeeper. -
Relocate Shockwave from KD and Skyrider from CW and install Olympic Race themed stand-up dueling coasters! Shockwave is up for sale if you trust the source. Having Dorney as my home park, and riding shockwave this year for the first time, all I can say is "Thank god we aren't getting that piece of scrap" So um... not to be a downer but Demon Drop was up for sale too. And when nobody bought it we got it. So let's hope somebody buys it fast. With Demon Drop we hit the jackpot, but Shockwave is a complete train wreck of a ride.

Some people handle things in different ways. I don't think there's anyone here who's not sympathetic to the family but in my opinion there's nothing wrong with lightening the mood with some humor.
