  1. Raptor, TTD, Millenium Force, Gatekeeper (both sides) Agree with this. Raptor's front seat line will only cost you like 5 minutes and it's the best by far. If you're one of those people that complains about B&M rattle then don't sit on the left side of the train. If you like to have fun then sit on the left side. lol Gatekeeper's front seat line won't cost you much time either. Millennium Force is great in every seat but you have to ride it once in the front both during the day and at night. The line will be huge but it's worth it. Dragster is the same way... even if the wait for the front is an hour, do it! You can ride Rougarou in the front but it's a better back seat ride. Also I should mention (again) Mean Streak because it's horrible in the other seats. Front seat, lean forward, back off the seat back if you don't want internal bleeding. Edit: sorry for the double post but Cedar Point posted what I think is an obvious diversion on their new event page... Image... Link... Coaster Appreciation Night I'm not buying this for a second.
  2. You're correct, those are wheels. They switched from the pads to the wheels at some point and unfortunately I can't find any pictures of the pads.
  3. This. The ride easily has the most airtime in the park, but it's a rough ride. Sit in 1:2 and you'll get some unexpected pops of ejector airtime. And when I say ejector, I mean ejector.
  4. Hey so I just noticed people earlier had grouped Fury into the "B&M hyper" group. As a disclaimer when I was stating that no B&M hyper had ejector air I wasn't talking about Fury. Fury is 3 minutes and 25 seconds of pure, uninterrupted greatness. Anyway, back to our regularly scheduled thread...
  5. Don't ask a bunch of coaster enthusiasts for medical advice. It won't get you anywhere. If it were me I'd ride it and see what happens but I'm not saying it's good advice, it's just what I'd do because I do dumb things.
  6. Wow, now we're arguing over which coaster looks better too? lol
  7. Good... Kings Island and Kings Dominion need new entrance buildings but huge coasters would take away from the charm of the entrance plazas. Both parks have really nice main midway areas.
  8. I love the old logo... don't hate.
  9. Cedar Point is closing at 8pm because of low crowds this week and next week. Schools are back in session so their attendance now consists almost entirely of Michigan residents, residents of upstate new york and people without kids. Kings Island and Carowinds are actually closed this week but Cedar Point always holds on until Labor Day and thanks to their "Michigan Days" promotions they do alright for themselves. Is school in session around Great America? If so that would explain it.
  10. That's been a pipe dream of mine forever but it'll never happen.
  11. If you don't like beer, then when you get older don't drink it. No reason to rain on everyone else's parade. People like you are why people like me drink beer.
  12. What they need are some trees. I'm not going for a laugh, at this point I'm being completely serious. This park needs to invest in a few hundred trees... and maybe a bathroom back by Batwing. Screw new rides, screw new coasters this park needs to announce paint, trees and a bathroom.
  13. There's only one coasterbill And thank god for that.
  14. Okay, that mini golf course looks outstanding.
  15. I'm glad someone understands because in the words of the great Terry Crews that ride blew my mind right in front of my face. Everyone's entitled to their opinion but I don't get what anyone could dislike about Fury. Anyway, sorry I've now contributed to pulling this topic way off course.
  16. I couldn't possibly care any less about this waterpark expansion but they did desperately need it and it's not like anyone has anything to complain about the year after they added an amazing giga. Good move for Carowinds. I don't care at all but I already have all I need to ensure I visit the park whenever I'm in the area thanks to Afterburn and Fury.
  17. Great report, thanks for sharing. I actually laughed out loud a few times reading your SFSTL report.
  18. Agreed. I'd take more Tennessee Tornados and less run-of-the-mill B&M floorless coasters in a heartbeat. If that ride had come a few years earlier things could be a lot different now.
