  1. This is outstanding news. Personally I'm more excited about this than any other Six Flags announcement. Good job Six Flags!
  2. I haven't seen this much complaining about a new ride since the last time someone announced a new ride.
  3. By the way, given the location this is almost guaranteed to be a future Holiday in the Park ride and that's a major plus also. Just throwing that out there...
  4. I'd agree... But nobody cuts corners like Six Flags.
  5. I'm sorry. This thread is TOTAL MAYHEM. Like I said on Fcebook... I demand royalties for that. Lol
  6. Anyone that thinks the video is fake is either insane or completely in denial... The still frame at the end could be fake I guess (doubtful) but the rest of it would be ridiculously tough to fake. Nobody had that much free time on their hands. And for the people pointing out that it's the same as the Fiesta Texas animation, why re-invent the wheel when you can re-use things? Of course some of the elements of the video are the same.
  7. I've heard nothing but positive reviews of the SFFT ride so I'm happy about this. I can't wait for Opening day! (AKA the 4th of July).
  8. Hey don't hate on the X2 sound system... It plays clips from Full Metal Jacket which by definition makes it awesome. Too bad that's the only good thing about X2.
  9. I've seen that happen a few times, it's a cool idea. I like it.
  10. I still see myself as a RCT2 guy but that's a personal preference thing. This game looks pretty good, I just love the RCT2 interface and the incredible things we can now do with it thanks to over a decade of custom scenery and user created content. I do give them a lot of credit for listening to the community and improving the game the way they are.
  11. You haven't spent enough time on TPR. Name a B&M and I'll find someone talking about how rough it is. lol ...Beware the painful Gatekeeper death vests.
  12. I watched that last night and it's fantastic. Also, speaking of Fury, Carowinds tweeted that it will be up and running this coming weekend. No word obviously as to why it was closed on Sunday and most of Saturday but apparently there's been a crane / lift near the drop which is now gone.
  13. If it's not a lift chain, what could it be? The lift motor is at the bottom of the lift... I would almost guarantee it's the chain (though I'm no expert). Last time they had it fixed in about 3 days. I'm sure they'll bust it to get it open for Labor Day weekend.
  14. If that's the case then this seems exactly like the lift chain issue it had right around the same time last year.
  15. Gatekeeper is down and has a lift of some kind working on it. Live Cam 2 Any word on what's wrong? That seems kind of odd.
  16. I would answer with "absolutely" but it won't happen overnight. I'm sure plenty of parks will grow organically from a small park or FEC into a large park but it will take decades for that to slowly happen. We're seeing it right now with parks like Fun Spot Orlando, Holiday World and a bunch of others. Where were those parks 10...20 years ago. They're growing slowly over time. As far as someone opening a huge mega park right away I think that would have to be in the form of an additional gate for Disney or Universal.
  17. Nope... that's Raptor too. Cedar Point: Raptor guest injured squeezing through closing gate Raptor is NOT in the mood for stupid people this year.
  18. I didn't know Phillie was known for Pretzels. That's a thing? I guess I need to try these. Also you forgot Crab Fries. I'd have dropped the Crab Fry hammer awhile ago. Don't mind me, while everyone else uses this thread to start a pissing match I'm using it for new food suggestions when I'm in the Phillie area (I've already discovered a lot of the great NY food). Probably something cheap
  19. I haven't ridden a ton of new for 2015 rides but I really enjoyed what I did get to ride. I've ridden Impulse, Rougarou (I absolutely count this as it's a huge improvement), Wicked Cyclone, Cedar Creek Flyers (lol), Laff Trakk and Fury 325. All are great additions (except for Cedar Creek Flyers which are absolutely terrible and should be ashamed to be within 2 hours of the Knoebels Flyers) and even though they're all great this couldn't be easier... Fury 325 is on a totally different level. I'd probably rank them like this... 1) Fury 325 2) Wicked Cyclone 3) Rougarou 4) Impulse 5) Laff Trakk 6) My Couch 7) Cedar Creek Flyers Edit: I've been at Great Adventure when El Diablo was open but I didn't care enough to ride it. It looks sort of fun but the line was insane.
  20. It's weird... I'm not PC enough to believe that stereotypes don't sometimes have some truth behind them but I never got the Philadelphia one. Everyone (and I mean everyone) I've met from the Phillie area is awesome. They're generally all really nice, fun people... Fun people with drinking problems perhaps (and a strange obsession with Miller Lite) but I have no problem with that. Lol
  21. Oh god no, I just don't buy into that crappy logo. I feel like everything about this ride has been uncovered and they threw up a quick, fake logo to make people second guess the leak kind of like what Kings Island did.
  22. Regarding Thunderhawk? The ride has no airtime anywhere but the front car but it delivers plenty up there... still a crappy coaster in it's current form though which is too bad because it has a ton of potential.
