Personally I think X2 is a terrible ride. I've been on somewhere between 250 and 300 coasters (I don't know the exact number and don't particularly care at this point) and besides Green Lantern First Flight (coincidentally in the same park) I think it's my least favorite coaster in operation. It beats the living hell out of you and is just a terrible, terrible piece of crap. I think it's pretty funny that in the last few pages we had 2 people complain about Kumba because it's "too forceful and intense". People like you are why Hydra exists and why we can't have nice things.

I sincerely apologize to the internet police for ruining your beloved thread by having fun. I'll let you get back to talking about proposed inverted coaster layouts for the 2017 addition that's never coming. -

The blue area looks like it's the parks boneyard. Basically where they store a bunch of old crap and maybe some Haunt stuff (I'm assuming). They won't put anything in that one. The other 2 though could definitely be expansion areas. -

I'm sorry to hear that you're not quite mean enough to face the streak. I have tamed even the meanest of streaks. I'm the Mean Streak whisperer. -
What is the most G-Force you have pulled?

Ive heard Mindbender has the highest g's on any coaster. I've heard that too. I don't know how true it is but it seems reasonable to me. -

Probably. I don't see what that could have to do with anything. I think they're trying to distract us even though the blueprints already leaked... just like with Banshee. -

I'm not sure how I missed it but great photos prozach. I never knew Yuengling wasn't popular nationwide. Of course we travel a ton, but I guess I never took notice of the fact that people didn't carry it when you left the east coast. We always have our fridge stocked with some, it's pretty good and very inexpensive. I normally stay away from cheap beers because they're cheap for a reason (and I always figured if I came home to a fridge stocked with Natural Light or Icehouse I'd have officially hot rock bottom and need to reevaluate my life choices) but Yuengling was always an exception to that rule. When we rode Intimidator last week it was running better than I'd ever seen it run. Early in the season when it's cooler it absolutely crawls but it made me eat my words a little last week. Fury is obviously in a league of it's own. Oh and I didn't know what to do in Plants vs. Zombies either. I pretty much exclusively shot at the gnome things (is that what I was supposed to do? Someone who knows about this app please let me know, lol). It was fun though. -

Did you forget what website you were on? There's no room for that type of completely rational thinking here. -

I agree with this. But yeah if you want to treat yourself, go for Fastlane plus. You don't need it but it'll be fun to have. -

Barring an unlikely day with a million school groups, Carowinds rarely has long lines except on Saturdays. As prozach said, Fury chews through it's lines. Intimidator does too on busy days. On slow days Intimidator runs 2 trains and they staff 1 seat checker per side (Six Flags style) but on weekends they run 3 with 2 per side. Fury almost always runs at maximum efficiency. -
We don't have any mechanics with experience working on complex launched wooden roller coasters either but that never stopped anyone from providing us with page after page worth of unimaginable horse sh*t about how they should have built it and what the P.R. team is doing wrong during the delay. The TPR patent law experts will be here soon. It's best to just get a beer or twelve and prepare for the inevitable.

That would be okay with me. I was pleasantly surprised with it at Carowinds. It was nothing amazing but it was fun and re-rideable. -
That happened to me at La Ronde. Did it just stop completely or did you just keep turning around in the cockpit staring at the back of your seat? I'm so glad this is happening. Hopefully it continues and a few of these things overheat and die. I also love to hear that it only works about half the time an that people were waiting 2+ hours only to be told they couldn't use VR. Hopefully tons of people go to guest relations and complain and we can go back to enjoying this great coaster the way it was supposed to be enjoyed without overheating, non-calibrated cell phones strapped to our heads.

M&D Scotland's Tsunami derails
coasterbill replied to UKCoasterFan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The fact that they're still talking about injuries and not fatalities is good to hear. Obviously things could change but if everyone comes out of this alive that would actually be a minor miracle. -
M&D Scotland's Tsunami derails
coasterbill replied to UKCoasterFan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
i'm not sure what she means by it stopped and then regained full speed ... but it sounds like the ride should not have been in operation in the first place. (easy to say in retrospect, i suppose) I'm going to go out on a limb and say none of that ever happened. Eyewitness reports while basically the entire area is in chaos are rarely reliable. -

Much to everyone's delight, Mean Streak is currently meanly streaking through it's 25th season of continued greatness and is open daily for your riding pleasure. -

Nitro at Great Adventure during Holiday in the Park was awesome. I was actually surprised by the fact that it didn't feel that cold while riding it, even on those nights where it dipped into the 20's. It only feels cold when the ride stops and you no longer have a great coaster to distract you from how freaking cold it is. Anyway I suggest you bro down. Holiday in the Park separates the men from the boys.
