I know you're from California so you're probably not familiar with what weather is or how it works (kidding...kidding lol) but you're looking at the forecast a week out? On lake Erie???? Step 1: Don't check the weather until like 3 days out, and then then they're probably wrong. Step 2: Use Weather Underground. I don't know what you're looking at but Accu Weather sucks and so does Weather.com. According to them it looks good Monday. Step 3: "Chance of a Thunderstorm" is a pretty good forecast. It means it's summer, it'll probably be nice most of the day and you'll MAYBE have a brief storm in the afternoon that might even lead to lower crowd levels. If this happens check out Town Hall Museum (it's pretty cool), Frontier Trail or go to a bar like the one in Hotel Breakers or the Craft Beer place on Frontier Trail. Also, the only long term forecasts that are even mildly accurate are wind forecasts. High winds are a major problem at Cedar Point but things are looking great those 2 days so you should be happy. If I were you I'd be thrilled with that forecast even if it doesn't change. But it will. And don't check it, it'll just stress you out.

Conversely I think Goliath is redundant with Flashback here. Hopefully they give up on that piece of crap soon and replace it with something worthwhile. Bonus points if it actually fits the theme of the area but now I'm probably asking for too much

I highly doubt that ride is ever going anywhere. Me and you hope. It should be fine for awhile, they can get plenty of parts from the dead Arrow coaster gravyard. I think S&S makes parts for Arrow coasters don't they? I don't think there's any issue getting parts.

I've got to be honest. I have no issue with Flashback. It runs really smoothly and it's a fun ride. Goliath in every row but row 1 is garbage. I'll take Flashback any day.

^^ I'm not sure who that's directed at but I do want to point out that if anything I said at any point was taken as negative towards the mods that wasn't the intention. If I had to moderate this thread it would drive me to drink... I don't envy you guys. You have more patience than I do (or more alcohol than I do. And I'm that case I do envy you).

I wouldn't have initially but after looking at it I realized it would be an insane staffing commitment to open Action Zone for an event that might not be successful. For whatever reason I never noticed how huge that area of the park was and it's almost impossible to section it off without a ridiculous number of temporary barriers.

I'm 99% sure it's the same building based on the sources I've been able to find. Sadly no pictures though... I don't know anything about the park but that's pretty cool. It's sad that they replaced the old Von Roll. Would you happen to know if it was scrapped or relocated? I can't find any useful info on it anywhere.

I enjoy envisioning how parks can pull of Holiday events so this is what I was thinking... I'd love them to close the Midways off at Diamondback (so you have the kids area and Diamondback), the 3 paths leading to action zone (one by the gate, one by the pretzel company and one by Adventure Express), the path going right from the clock and then somewhere by Wave Swinger. It would be easy to cut the paths there, it leaves you with Diamondback, Firehawk, Flight of Fear and Racer (if you want) as the adult coasters, Adventure Express for families and all of the kids coasters as the event would be family focused. I figure they'll want Flight of Fear since it's indoors and it's nice and toasty warm in there thanks to all of the LIM fires. You could cut Firehawk and Racer to one station and one train to save staffing and get a jump start on maintenance. You can of course cut trains on the others also to get started on maintenance and drain the pond at Diamondback or remove the scoops (like they did with Shiekra). Then if the event gets more popular you can always expand... maybe starting with action zone but if you open it it requires a ton of staffing and it's hard to cut off anywhere which is why I left it out for now. Just my random pipe dream that I 100% pulled out of my a**.

Big Bad Wolf was world class and better than anything the park has now as far as I'm concerned. That being said, Verbolten is a very good coaster. I wish they would have invested the money to keep BBW running but I understand why that wasn't economically feasible.

I've never had a single issue with Impulse.
