The Boardwalk is the selling point. It's new its fresh brings energy to that part of the park. If it brings joy then that's why they built it, and that is what brings family's to the park. You need to look at the big picture. As for the food it has came a long way from frozen burgers from many years ago. Your at a theme park its going to cost a little more. I mean Taco bell is almost $15 dollars to feed me now. SO you don't really have a point. The target market for parks is not the coaster fan who doesn't spend money in the park buy packing food.3 points

Um. So how can you call it dog food? I'd sure like to know what's so special about the food in your cooler. Must be fancy.2 points

Fixed! Sorry about that. I hate grammar errors, too. Can't tell you the last time I actually wrote out "dual" or "duel".1 point

I like this design of a Mad/Wild Mouse spinning coaster. It definitely has a different layout than I've seen in "off the shelf mouse spinners," etc. So that alone, makes it unique to me for CP. I just hope the dispatch times are "mouse size," to make the whole attraction come alive, with those mice chasing that cheese!1 point

Fast Lane + is gone. There is only Fast Lane. The former FastLane + rides are now included in FL. I have had each meat option at Grain and Grill, my faves are the beef and pork. The couscous salad is the best side they have! They did downsize the indoor seating to accommodate cashiers and drink machines. Pull pork fries at Potato Works is on the meal plan! You will not be disappointed.1 point

But.......aren't you doing the same when you generalize people that live in "shithole" neighborhoods? (Your words in another thread) And before you say I don't know what I'm talking about I taught public school for 28 years in one of those types of neighborhoods.1 point

They should have at least built two of them though like Disney or Nagashima for capacity.1 point

On Saturday, May 6th I made my first visit of the 2023 season to Canada's Wonderland! For being Opening Weekend, it wasn't nearly quite as busy as I would have expected with the weather being as beautiful as it was, especially after almost two weeks of rain! While Tundra Twister and Snoopy's Racing Railway weren't quite ready yet, I did manage to get some photos of them. They should be open and operational by mid to late May! I also managed to get some photos of other improvements made around the park during the off-season including the removal of the trees around Swing of the Century, a new fence along the path by Shockwave, the repainting of Vortex, and the replacement of the Whac-A-Mole game with Peach Basket in Grande World Exposition of 1890. Enjoy the photos below! ^ Agreed. You don't need every single ride to be the most extreme thing around. You want to have something for everyone, and this budget cut of a ride absolutely fulfills that.1 point

The park has a crap ton of coasters and this is the first spinning coaster. I don’t get how it doesn’t fit in. It also has a low height requirement (for Cedar Fair). It’s different for them, so it’s a perfect fit. Realistically this entire thing is also a budget cut. They can operate a small lift driven Zamperla rather than an Intamin Inpulse that used a ton of power, required more ride ops and required more expensive parts and more maintenance. Still though… I’m fine with it.1 point

That’s funny, I was there the same day (4/23)! Wasn’t expecting Superman to be open but got my first forward-facing ride on it. I think I hit it right after it opened as it was pretty much a walk-on. Seemed to run consistently all day as I kept hearing the launch at regular intervals. Scream had a rough day as it was open and closed at various times. It had minor delays a couple times when I was in the very short line toward the end of the day. They got it resolved both times fairly quickly. One time I was actually on the ride in the station and they had us get off because the train behind got stuck on the brake run. Goliath also went down briefly, was on the brake run when it happened. Funny to see the same guys come out to fix Goliath after seeing them at Scream just a few minutes earlier! The Twisted Colossus crew was having a competition late in the day to see which side would have all the restraints checked quickest. Seemed to help with a couple duels. There were a few near misses and some not even close, mostly due to restraint issues or slow riders getting seated. On my second lap, it looked like the train dispatched from the station in time for a duel but they sent it too early and it beat us over the hill. When was the last time they were too quick dispatching? Had the chicken and waffles (fresh and hot but needed more sauce) and the teriyaki chicken (really good, but I do miss Chop Six…the MM location was the best in the chain). Overall it was a great day at SFMM. Lines for a Sunday weren’t too bad (I avoided anything that looked like a long wait but rode just about everything I wanted to, except X2 which ran all day with shorter lines but I jarred my back on something, can’t remember what, and didn’t want to risk any serious injury so I skipped it). The longest line I waited in was probably for Green Lantern and that was probably only around 20 minutes. Loved all the relatively new boards throughout the park showing the ride wait times.1 point

It's the center of controversy worldwide. "That's not fair" is an epidemic. Why should that person get an A, because they put in more work? Shouldn't we all get A's? I'm a victim of my own circumstances and chose not to take full advantage of I opportunities. Why should the person who worked hard get extra privileges? Why should my wife and I be able to skip past people, just because she has a high stress job, works from 9PM to 12 AM when our kid goes to bed? Why? Just because she went to college and sacrificed an immediate gratification lifestyle? Just because we didn't buy nice things, and instead paid off ten years of college immediately, while other people chose the route of high car payments? Why should I be able to skip the lines, just because I worked full time in a factory while paying my way through school? Why should our daughter be able to reap the benefits of me working night shifts for months at a time in order to give my family a better life? It's bullshit and not fair. Other people need nicer houses. Better cars. Better clothes. Fast passes, no matter what life they chose. I should actually give my pass to other people who didn't try as hard in life. I'm already happily going to pay a mortgage penalty fee soon, when we buy a new house. The extra $40 a month will go to people who've been able to enjoy living in the moment and spending their money paycheck to paycheck, instead of investing in life improvements. It's our fault for having no outstanding debt and paying what we owe. We shouldn't be able to have nicer things, just because we maintain an excellent credit score through our own disciplined lifestyle. We should all enjoy the same benefits no matter how hard we try. The chain smoking day drinking gas station clerk should actually get my fast pass. I need to buy his daughter's nice clothes, too. I'll keep working long hours. My wife doesn't need sleep. I'll gladly sign my new car over to whoever needs it. I paid for it in full, because I'm rich, despite "upper middle class" seeming less and less like that every year. The roach infested apartments from my very early childhood gave me privileges. I don't deserve nice things. As long as everyone gets reap the same rewards I do, we'll all be happy. It will motivate me to work harder, longer, and strive for the wealth of other people. None of this shit is localized like people think it is.1 point
