  1. I don't think a park known for its haunted house incident should use the tag #FIREAF

  2. They are both running great this year! I had always ridden Beast in the front but so glad I tried row 17 this year. I'm converted!

  3. I've been told I was crazy for recommending row 17 here before. Locals know. More should know and try it. Front row or 17 is the way to go. Still haven't been able to get up there this year to try the Beast or Racer yet.

  4. Or they must’ve transferred to Kings Island. It’s baffling how two parks ran by the same company in the same state only a few hours apart can operate so night and day.

  5. We made our first ever visit to the park pre CoasterCon on 6/16 and 6/17 and had a great visit. Wonderful Canadian hospitality as we expected and we loved the weirdness of whatever Wonder Mt and all it's inhabitants are trying to be. I mean that as a complement, truly! We had an early flight on Thursday and came straight to the park so it was kind of the bonus day since we had no idea when we would actually arrive. Planned on Friday being the big day since we could stay open to close and had FL+. Good thing too as we lost about 2 hours due to weather, not much rain but lightning in the area. Also Yukon Striker went down for wind for a while. We focused on the non FL rides on Thursday figuring Friday would be busier and that was a wise move. There were a lot of school groups both days as it was the last week of school in that area. Got 16 of the 17 coasters. The only one we didn't get on was the kiddie since we had no kid and never saw a chance to "borrow" one to ride, lol. By we I mean my son got 16 and I did 13 or 14, no way was I starting out a 10 day coaster trip getting beat up on the SLC and flying coasters tend to make me sick but we had a great couple of days. Glad you are getting a new restaurant, the choices were kind of limited; I mean do you really need 4 Subway's? What's up with that, lol?

  7. I'm convinced that Mad Mouse rumor is Screamscape being it's normal "ideas out of it's ass" self. I cannot imagine Cedar Fair sending such a low capacity, dead-manufacturer, ride to it's flagship park.

  8. ^Platinum pass holder here. When I've been recently, all the open booths were manned and the self scanners weren't working at all. YMMV.

  9. Hurry! If everything is actually open they’re due to break something else for 3 months.

  10. Las Vegas did the family thing. Didn’t work. Phoenix is one of the fastest growing metropolitan cities. It has grown exponentially since 2000. Conflating a lack of investment in new rides for Castles’N’Coasters with the ability for the market to support a new park is terrible logic. The choice of ownership to not build something new doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t have the ability to do so.

  11. You could... ya know... link to an article or something. https://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2022/06/28/gilroy-gardens-is-no-longer-managed-by-cedar-fair.html

  12. I had to read it twice to make sure it didn't say 2023. Color me impressed. I can only imagine the comments full of MAGAts complaining about the "equality" part of the catchphrase LOL.

  14. Nearly all S&S and Intamin towers have had secondary seatbelts for 20+ years. It's nothing new and will not affect the ride experience a single bit, and likewise won't really affect operations either since it clips to the outside. It's a no-brainer move in my opinion.

  16. Orion is a people eater. even a long line on that moves fast. do Diamondback, MT, and Beast first. (that's the order you'll get to them if you go right). if you go straight back behind the Tower, you'll hit Beast, MT, then DB in that order. there is a Skyline Chili near the front gate, that was good. the "Tom & Chee" (grilled cheese place) in front of Diamondback is really good too. I'd recommend both of those. the menu at the french restaurant near the tower looked great too, tho we didn't try it. yes, you can ride the train without getting off and going into the waterpark. dont' sleep on Adventure Express . a very fun mine train, or the Bat - never has much of a line, since it's such a walk to get to the station (it's near Banshee for entrance to the Bat queue) you should move heaven and earth to figure out a way to get FL+ tho. .. even if not too busy, FL+ will cut out a TON of the walking in the queuelines.
