Happy Valley Shenzhen: update on Shangrila Snowfield

Hi there. I am currently on business trip in Shenzhen but due non-working on Sunday (01/23/2011) I wanted to check the progress of the new S&S coaster "Shangrila Snowfield". Let the pictures speak for themselves ...

Personal remark: if you want a very good Hotel close to "Happy Valley Shenzhen" then try Crowne Plaza Shenzhen which is in 2 minutes walking distance to the park and also in 3 minutes walking distance to "Window of the World".

first drop looks nice but still something missing ...

The one thing I remember the most about this park was Elissa and I had to take a "defensive riding class" before riding the SLC! It was quite funny actually!

Thank you for the update. I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to ride this , but the S&S coasters being built in China would sit at the top of my most-wanted list. Are these parks on the interary for the TPR China trip?

Looks like a lot of progress has been made! And I think I should have taken a "defensive riding class" before riding Infusion at Blackpool Pleasure beach. That was one mean coaster!

I haven't been following this one too much but hasn't it been under construction for quite some time now? I really thought they'd be track complete by now.

^LOL! I think it's an optical illusion. If you look closely it's actually UNDER the track.

Looks amazing albeit dangerous if you have the wrong person in front of you.

I rode the one in Big Bear a couple weeks ago and loved it.

How tall is that supposed to be? I want to say It looks as tall as a hyper but it's probably not that tall right?

No problem. It does look massive I'll admit. I've never really been impressed with anything S & S has done but this actually looks promising.

If this proves to be a giant Powder Keg, which it's really starting to resemble, we could be looking at a top 10 coaster!
