RCF
I doubt the tower will look exactly like the rendering, the track is yellow. I think Lagoon is going for a Mayan-esque theme. The tower sections look exactly like the rendering, as well as the supports already up for the station and dive loop. Lagoon is going for an African/Tribal theme since they bought the old lions at auction that were in front of the Capitol Building.
cal1br3tto
^I bet those lions look cool! I've never visited the park, so I doubt I'll be be bothered by the changes to its appearance that the coaster will bring.

A centerpiece attraction like Cannibal I think can't hurt the skyline from the highway especially if you're supposed to watch the road. Once in the park, being able to see the "back" of the Skyscraper would offer some very nice photo ops with it around the Cannibal line and/or plaza ( ), as well as amazing photo ops around Cannibal. Lagoon didn't share "Concept Art" or mere "Renderings," they are in fact what is being fabricated. I don't know what you would call them, but they are Engineering Plans, for lack of a better term. Yeah, the tower is exactly like it is in the renderings. I'd say it's very ugly looking. But the coaster is fantastic, so it makes up for it. jray21
I think the ride looks really cool! It'll be really interesting to watch this ride progress. The park is about 7 hours away, so I'll definitely be heading there when it opens.
_koppen
Not really been that active lately but this is, along with Kärnan, is my favorite project for 2015. Everything just screams originality of this, and I can't wait to see the final result! What I don't understand is a themed, elevator lift building is ugly yet a bigger cement tower at Hansa has yet to be considered ugly. The one at Hansa will look like this when finished, it's quite a difference.

True, but they're suppose to have a "special surprise" about this new coaster. Whatever that might be. I think it has something to do with the lift, maybe? People say it could be a drop in the lift, something in the layout, or I've even heard it could just be a special deal of some sort. Honestly, they could even be on-ride photos for all we know since their aren't any at Lagoon anymore. For construction updates, lagoonisfun.com has quite a few, especially since the tower has been topped off about a week or so ago.

jray21
I'll probably be visiting the park for half a day on Saturday, October 18. I know their Halloween event is going on, but how busy should I expect the park to be?

I know their Halloween event is going on, but how busy should I expect the park to be? Expect long lines for the day, but they don't take long to get through. The only lines that can last an hour or so are the haunts if you are wanting to walk through them.

mark549
Perhaps Lagoon can put an "Alferd Packer Grill" next to "Cannibal" coaster. Alferd Packer Restaurant & Grill - University of Colorado Boulder http://www.colorado.edu/umc/dining/alferd-packer Lagoon doesn't have an actual restaurant, and don't think they would add one anytime soon. Would be awesome, though! However, I bet Lagoon would try for a local Utahn restaurant than one from Colorado.

jray21
Made it to the park and enjoying it! Really nice park, and I love the trees. It doesn't seem too busy, but many of their coasters are low capacity so the lines are a little long. Not bad for a Saturday. Having fun so far! Also, what food places would everyone recommend? A bit late, but the best would be the Olde Time Grill in Pioneer Village.
jray21
I'll post a review in just a bit, but I had a great time! It's a great smaller park, and there is a ton to do! I'd love to take Jacob there sometime as they had a crap load of kid rides.
ThemeParkJunkie51290
You would think a new coaster like this would be the "talk of the town" just like all the other 2015 coasters, but not too many people seem to be thrilled about this ride. I wonder what construction is like. I haven't seen anything lately.
