Hattuchili Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Hey guys, yesterday I had a bit free time to go to Animal Kingdom! It is really easy to go to the parks with the special cast member bus system, oh and I have free entry to all parks! It was my first time there, but it was really nice. I like that park, but from all the pictures I thought EE is much bigger. However, it was a good ride and I had the chance to ride it 3 times that day! So, onto my pictures: --Sören Thats it, last picture! ... The Yeti again! ... ... ... what a great view. ... The big lifthill ... The first lifthill. ... I am ready to start! ah, I made it to the train. oh, he looks so scary. ... ... the theming is great. ... ... doesn´t it looks nice? more everest oh, they really have animals! ... ... Oh look, there is a big mountain. What a big tree. Welcome
coasterdude5 Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Awesome! Its so cool to get all the way through the ride! Nice pictures, too.
Erik Johnson Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I am glad you were able to get a little free time yesterday to explore more WDW. Does this mean you only have MGM left to visit? Also I think you only were able to explore only a little bit of the Magic Kingdom as well.
Hattuchili Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 ^ Erik, I have visited all the 4 parks, but only a few areas at each park! Because I only had a few hours per park! However, I have one year to visit the parks! --Sören
Token Yankee Guy Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 It's matterhorn 2.0!! lol, good pictures soren.
SharkTums Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I really don't understand all of these people comparing it to Matterhorn. It is NOTHING like Matterhorn at all!!! If anything it screams Big Thunder.
Token Yankee Guy Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I really don't understand all of these people comparing it to Matterhorn. It is NOTHING like Matterhorn at all!!! If anything it screams Big Thunder. not comparing, it's the newer version, bigger & badder, it's 2.0.

WillMontu Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 We didn't see much in the way of animals when we were there last weekend (besides Robb, of course). There is a safari part of the park, but we didn't go there. Be sure to hit Dinosaur, Tough to be a Bug, and Primeval Whirl (both sides count as a single credit!) Busch Gardens, on the other hand, has animals throughout the park, although it is a little more like a zoo than AK.
cfc Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I really don't understand all of these people comparing it to Matterhorn. It is NOTHING like Matterhorn at all!!! If anything it screams Big Thunder. How about "Big Thunder Monsterhorn"?
waterviper Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I really don't understand all of these people comparing it to Matterhorn. It is NOTHING like Matterhorn at all!!! If anything it screams Big Thunder. How about "Big Thunder Monsterhorn"? Or Expedition Big Thunder Matterhorn Well the way I see it being compared to Matterhorn is that they both have ice caves, they both have yeti's and they both are mountains in a snowy region. The things that I see it is comparable to BTM is the train and the track layout. Except for the reverse part (that is it's own uniqueness). So I see it comparable to both. But since MH and EE both have yetti's and the apperance and it's surroundings are similar it is more comparable to MH. But on a side note from my opinion just only by looking at vids on it. I think MH is better. I also have a feeling if I did ride EE that I would think the same thing. On another side note Matterhorn can be called Expedition Matterhorn with a few themeing changes! Oh ya sorry to continue to hijack your thread Soren!! I am glad to hear that you have free access to all parks!! Also am glad to see you got a camera and are now taking pics for PTR's!!!!! Hope you have a great time with your new job even if it is hard at first. I am sure you will get into the swing of things in no time!!
Ed Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Lots of hidden Yeti's! The park looks so beautiful. I'll have to hit Florida one day. Oh and lucky you for getting to work over there, and free entry to the parks!
stingrock23 Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Great report and pictures. Just 35 more days for me until Everest.
Nrthwnd Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 ^3 - Like I posted before in another post....'somewhere'.... ~ Matterhorn Big Thunder Mountain Expedition:Everest ~ Simple equation IMhO. (EDIT: Oops. Great TR from AK, Soren! Thanks for sharing your few hours' there.)
dougr Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Maybe some kind of Gold Rush/Bigfoot ride in the Bigfoot Rapids section-Yosemite is a fairly tall mountain, and there was the 1849 gold rush, and the area is called Bigfoot... Speaking of California, any plans to visit us on the Left coast, Soren?
Chrissie Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Great TR Soren! Its nice to see that you don't spend all of your time working! See You Soon!
Jim Disney Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 I really don't understand all of these people comparing it to Matterhorn. It is NOTHING like Matterhorn at all!!! If anything it screams Big Thunder. I agree 1000%... it's just a super-sized Big Thunder... I don't think it feels anything like the Matterhorn... even a bigger version. It's definitely a giant BTMRR...
Dark Vampire Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Thx for the great photo's. But I will never get in America too do all those great attractions.
CoasterCrazy Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Thanks for posting the great pictures!!! I'm looking forward to getting a chance to ride EE this fall and visit WDW for the first time!
DerekRx Posted March 27, 2006 Posted March 27, 2006 Great pictures, Soren. Glad you managed to make it everywhere in Disney already. Maybe I'll catch up with you again late next month.
JT3000 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Matterhorn = 50-year-old bobsled with a Swiss theme. Everest = Modern coaster (that goes backwards) with a Tibetan theme. Have we gotten that out of the way now?
