Saw that before, but it was a good laugh. Wish someone showed that at the Wii campout. Anyway, anyone update their Wii's today or get the blue glow early this morning (Depending where you are) because the Forecast channel is up and running. I notice that it's limited to major cities but I'm sure updates will add more cities to it. (I had to choose the closest city, Oakland, to find my temp, which is just a tiny slight difference...but it works.)

I went around the world checking out random temperatures! As soon as they get some more places and have 5 day forecasts at all of them it will be great!

Forecast channel is awsome. Fun to see how i think im about to die from the cold, yet ome places are a good 20* colder then us. .

I will also say the forecast channel rocks! I love how its "Google Earthish". The Web Browsing channel will be released as a beta test on Dec 22 BTW - you will have to D/L the opera browser from the Wii Shop channel but it will be free until next summer. Yae for Wii updates!

It is a lot like Google Earth, without the satalite images. I personally like giving the earth a quick flick of the wrist and make it spin like crazy. Not to mention, this thing's quite accurate. Shows rain for Thursday, and I kept hearing about rain Thursday. I also like how Antartica was at 1 degree and bumped up to 3 this evening.

BTW, I've come to almost like Monkey Ball in the multiplayer mode. Joey and I played for about an hour tonight and found quite a few fun minigames. If anything, it makes me really excited for Wario Ware and Mario Party!

The SMBBB mini games are actually quite addicting when you get a ton of people over. My personal favorite would have to be Monkey Darts.

I've become adicted to Monkey Ball in single player mode - some of the levels are EVIL though. There are some great multiplayer games - the problem is there are clouded by the horribly crappy ones around them!

I went to Wal-Mart earlier, at 1:00 PM, to look for a DVD to get for my sister. I found it, but seconds later, I heard one of the workers yell. "Hey Wii lady!", and she came over with a small stack of Wiis.

 

I asked her if they were on reserve or something, she said no, and I helped myself to one!

 

I'm gonna open it yet though...I'm gonna wrap it up, and surprise my sister with it at Christmas, since we'll be sharing it.

lmao! those japanese cautions didnt need to be parodied as you mentioned. Im glad I looked, I was about to tuck it in or wear it as a hat... Also, I guess theyre making it clear the Wii is NOT Irish...

 

The parodies are great too, the one with the wine when I saw it small I thought there was a condom packet there too, which was actually just a ring in a box. That would be a funny picture too, a bottle of booze and a codom lol "do not try to seduce Wii"

Do you people expect some kind of overcharge on Christmas day on the Nintendo server for updating the Wii ? I've been wondering if I should update my Wii on the 24th instead to avoid that.

Yes, I would recommend doing that early!

 

I think there have been 2 Full upgrades now (on our high speed each took about 5-10minutes) and one smaller upgrade.

 

Now granted, a lot of people won't hook it up online right away, but it's a good idea!

When we hooked ours up a few weeks back I made sure I did all of the updates, set it up and everything.

 

I know there will be a few more things I will have to set up on Christmas, but if it's going to take too long I'll wait a day or two.
