Fatality Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Sure, I guess. I will be the dude with a Pandemic Yellow Logo T-Shirt, with my cousin. =P I'll be meeting everyone over at SFMM.
Guy T. Koepp Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 speaking of meeting at MM. Robb, is there a set time and place for an official TPR get together at the park? Mabey a huge hoodie picture?
ebl Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I'm not sure what I'm wearing to the party, but I am going to wear a nametag. You guys'll like it! Eric
Fatality Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 ^Sweet. Hopefully my arms get better before Sunday. I accidently hurt them because I weight lifted too much. =/
robbalvey Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Hey everyone! Now that we are back from the UK we will update the roll call later today and we'll send out the final information email later this afternoon. FYI - Be at Robb & Elissa's at 6pm. As far as TPR meet at SFMM, let's do this: ERT - Everyone do ERT on their own time, but try to hit your last ride on Goliath. So if you aren't at Goliath already, head over to Goliath around 9:45 and then at 10:00am the official meet at Goliath's front entrance. Due to amount of work we have to do for the party and given that we've bee in the UK all week so we have only today and tomorrow to do final preparations, Elissa and I probably won't have much time to meet with people during the day. But we can at least hang out from 10am until after the construction tour, but we'll have to split off after that to prepare. See everyone on Sunday! --Robb
ebl Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 ^ Robb, let me know if you guys need any help setting up. Most likely, I won't get to SFMM, but I can get to your place before the party. Shoot me an e-mail or PM. Eric

Loser_nerd Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 As of right now there is a slight chance i wont make it, it depends on how bad the grapevine is. Do any of you think that they wouldnt have cleared it by six on sunday, if it snows. I dont think that it will be that bad, there is still a realy good chance that ill be there.

Fatality Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I'm at Valencia right now. I'm at my cousins house, and today I'm trying to get my season pass. Hopefully everything goes well. By the way, Do I have to get in the park to get a Season Pass or can I just get one through the Ticket Booth ?
Mr.Six Posted March 11, 2006 Posted March 11, 2006 I'm at Valencia right now. I'm at my cousins house, and today I'm trying to get my season pass. Hopefully everything goes well. By the way, Do I have to get in the park to get a Season Pass or can I just get one through the Ticket Booth ? I've always just received mine through the mail but, someone correct me if I'm wrong. You go to the guest services building located in the courtyard area. After you've passed through security but before you go into either Magic Mountain or Hurricane Harbor. Once again, I'm not sure; but that would be my best guess. _six
time.studioz Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 im 13 damn and im in aus damn again i'll miss this soz rob
Loser_nerd Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 This *insert bad word here* sucks. Last night the news said that the grapevine would be clear and open so did the internet and caltrans. Well i got up at three fifteen, got ready and was on the road by four. After an hour of driving there is a sign that says the grapevine was closed due to snow. So i call caltrans and it was true, the I5 was closed from Castaic to twenty miles past bakersfield. So me and jeannie figured that its only twenty minuest farther, maby we should wait it out. Well, we got there and the weather was great, nice and warm, and not a clowd in the sky. A great day for the park. It was five thirty and we thought that they might open it at six. Well six rolled around and it was still closed. So we waited and waited and still nothing. By the time it was nine, the place was packed hundreds and hundreds of cars waiting and waiting, we even talked to this guy who had been there since ten last night. At nine we decided to give it one last shot and they had closed off he entrance to the freeway so we gave up and left. And here I am, extreemly ticked off and now im gonna be bored and depressed all day. Edit: Great, NOW, its open. To bad im three hours away.
Loser_nerd Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 ^Yeah i was supposed to go to the park and the party.
synaesthetique Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 that sucks man.... lookin at the map, if you really wanted to rough it you could have gone on pine cyn rd. to lake hughes road to bypass the closure. Although that would have been a good 4 hour drive just to do that detour and probably a snowy drive anyway. Although if you were up that early could have made it.... Look at the bright side, at least you didn't drive through the boonies for 4 hours to show up to a cancelled construction tour.
robbalvey Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I just want to say THANKS to everyone who came by tonight. We had about 50ish people and no one seemed to mind the overly dorky coaster trivia! For those who were there it's all very "light hearted" and we never take ourselves TOO seriously (just like on the site) We hope everyone had a great time and please post your photos from tonight so we can make a party update! --Robb PS.
