Well, it is about movies in a movie-themed park, you know. I'd like to see it updated and upgraded, though.

I think the Great Movie Ride should stay as part of the "Hollywood" of the park, however it all ends up.

The Main Street entry, that attraction, and all that's "to the right" towards the Tower of Terror. That's

all that the Hollywood 'Land' could turn out to be. That little section to the right of GMR could be included, too.

 

Works for me.

 

Note: This actually has Hollywood Main Street, leading up to it`s HUB, (The GMR) and then diverting to

three successful movie franchises: Toy Story, Star Wars, and The Muppets. How cool is that?

Chuck, thats a better idea, it needs a full update. Get rid of the cheesy staff members ( yes I know they are doing the job they are employed to do, but I don't think that script has changed in twenty odd years! )

^ With money involved, they should easily be able to tear out one or two 'scenes,'

and completely update them, with a totally new film-themed environment, and AAs etc.

 

I think the interactive cast members still works though.....

...on the Jungle Cruise in Tokyo Disneyland.

New armchair idea for Muppets Land...

 

In this conception, put Star Tours on the other side of the Muppets 3D,

make that bldg.now into a Muppets Attraction, then throw in the Honey,

I Shrunk... set, and re-theme it into something...Fraggle Rock-ish?

Has anyone else heard about this Re-theme rumour that Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror will become Guardian Of The Galaxy's themed, as Disney want to get more marvel into there parks, I don't know how much of this is true but, If this is true....me no likey!

This would be horrible. ToT is one of the best themed rides on property. Guardians was a great movie but it shouldn't be anywhere near Tower of Terror.

^ I tried to imagine how they'd pull off a re-theme. I mean, just changing the facade alone would be an insane amount of money that would be better off going to an all-new attraction.

^ Yea I've been wondering the same thing and nothing seems feasible. And with the massive expenditures coming to the Studios in the coming years, I doubt they want to drop some more cash on overhauling one of the most elaborately themed rides in the park.

If they spend more than $1 on labor for the creative side to try to shoe horn GOTG onto TOT, that is completely insane. They do have venues in the parks that have needed new content for decades. Why not A GOTG movie into the former home of Captain EO/HISTA?

The only part in the TOT I can see being rethemed into GOTG is the furnace room. Turning it into the Collector's collection

Not sure why they would kill one of the most popular attractions at the Disneyworld resort. I would wash my hands of the movie studios park if this were to happen.

 

Besides that, was guardian of the galaxy really that big of a blockbuster to justify this? It was a decent movie, but by no means big enough to bill as a top attraction at a Disney park. Why try to fix what definitely is not broken?
