MagnumForce Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 You believed world tallest revolving restaurant? I started that rumor, kinda proud of myself
Astat Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 ^ I was one of the non-believers but it was amazing how seriously people discussed the possibility.
PhishyBrewer Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 "Those who talk don't know and those who do know don't talk." And for those that have been on the boards for awhile just like to have fun with this type of shit.

And for those that have been on the boards for awhile just like to have fun with this type of shit. Psh, I heard it's gonna be a launched inverted wild mouse log flume...built by Vekoma! (I know exactly where you're coming from I just don't want this topic to get beat to death with speculation for the next year. -_-)
FlyingScooter Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Inverted, launched wild mouse flume... love it! Keeping with this line of humor, shall we figure out what type of restraining system it will have. my guess is the Over shoulder lap belt singular-modded unit made from used cereal packets.
MagnumForce Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Actually it's a Terra Terra Terra!!!!! for all of theose who have ever posted at rrc.
PhishyBrewer Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 ^Terra Chips?... those sure are tasty chips.
MagnumForce Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I prefer Ballreich's myself. Gotta love Northwest Ohio.
derwood Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I KNOW Maverick is gonna be the best coaster in the world. It's my #1!!! yeah d
PhishyBrewer Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 ^Thank you Mr. Rueben Now that sounds good. A Rueben... maybe with potato pancakes. And a beer. Yeah.. that would be pretty tasty.
memphish Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 ^There will be a cart at the top of the lift, again at the end of the launch tunnel, and in the underwater tube for all your Rueben needs.
MagnumForce Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 ^Thank you Mr. Rueben Now that sounds good. A Rueben... maybe with potato pancakes. And a beer. Yeah.. that would be pretty tasty. A rueben with a bowl of potato soup and a pint of Stella Artois.....and a 270 degree spriral from 420 feet up, that sounds great.
DenDen Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Maverick is Modonna's record label, maybe it will be a themed area for the kids, with characters dressed in pointy bustiers, Imax version of "Truth or Dare", and depressed drawn-out angry women passing out jagged little pills.
thepoint4life23 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 i was just throwing out the my thoughts but i have resons for think what i think
ECZenith Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Whatever it is, it's probably still in the DESIGN phase, as in the only people in the know are designers. The Dippin' Dots guy knows NOTHING, I tell you!
Astat Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Whatever it is, it's probably still in the DESIGN phase, as in the only people in the know are designers. The Dippin' Dots guy knows NOTHING, I tell you! Planning and design for a major coaster usually takes 2-3 years...Dragster was first conceived not long after Millenium Force opened. If it's as big as everybody's been saying it's gonna be, they probably have the ride designed and the manufacturer picked out already and they're just working on all the calculations and tweaks in the design to get all the forces right.
DRWP2005 Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 If you guys read Cedar Point's Blog for today they mention but tell readers not to "look to far into it" Therefore I don't think its for the Point, because if they really wanted to create a buzz, they would have said something like "It might be...but it might not be" You have to remember that Cedar Point isn't the only park that Cedar Fair owns....
Astat Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 ^ Plus Cedar Point is normally so tight-lipped about their new rides that I don't see why they'd even acknowledge the name this long before the ride is built. I have a new theory...maybe "Maverick" is the key part of a catchphrase for a new ride? Kinda like how "Fly at the speed of fear" is the big thing for Tatsu.
Gnome Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Maverick is gonna own my face. I sure hope it doesn't turn out to be a flying coaster though, it would be to much of an eye roller, and I don't think my eye muscle's are strong enough to roll them that much if that turns out to be the case.
cprocks22 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Anyone looked at the blog lately?http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun%5Fonline/blog/ Hmmm very interesting.
PhishyBrewer Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Anyone who post about Tony & Tylers blog will be banned...from my site.
DarkStitch626 Posted February 23, 2006 Posted February 23, 2006 Well, isn't a Maverick also a wild animal? If its themed to flight think , Stunt plane , or crop duster LOL. Some crop dusters on thier spare time drunk will do crazy stunts mid flight.. Look at "Independence Day" the movie.. Russel K anyone? Or they could...theme it to Snoopy and have mini Snoopy figures fixed on the side fins of the weather cover on the trains hehe . Call it the Red Baron.
