pgathriller Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I have been on the Stealth that used to be at PGA. Now it is the Borg Assimilator at a different park. If I ride the Borg Assimilator, would that be a new coaster credit or would it not because I have ridden it before as the Stealth?
Erik Johnson Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Nope, you would not earn another credit because you have already ridden that exact coaster. Name change or relocation of a coaster is not a new credit.
Carnage Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 All depends on if you want to count it again or not. There's no law to credits. Just count them however you want to.
kenshinmac Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 What happens if they change portions of the track due to wear or if they need to re-profile something? Does that make it a new coaster?
coasterdude5 Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 ^Yeah, if so, then I've rode over 100 different coasters! Seriously, somebody should make a guide to counting credits.
coaster_type_of_person Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Well Robb already did this and spelled out just about everything....just try to search.
CoasterFanatic Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 You can count it any way you want. "What a country!" - Yakov Smirnof
dougr Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 So...after riding Scream Machine at Expo, I can't claim Ninja in St Louis if I ever ride it?
rollocoast Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I may be in the minority here, but I count relocated coasters. It's a diffrent experience to me, and that's all I care about. Plus, to be honest, I don't even know what my track record is anymore.. I stopped counting in 2003.
Jeezus Juice Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Why should he be gypeed on a credit just beacuse Paramount was too ghetto to buy a new coaster? IMO if you made the effort to ride a stupid vekoma in Nor*Cal AND South Carolina you need to reward yoself bro. Monica even went a step further and counted it again without even riding it! Now that's hard core! -Don
Nrthwnd Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Monica even went a step further and counted it again without even riding it! Now that's hard core!-Don Yes, that certainly is hard core. Sho'nuff. Puh-lease. I hope that nobody actually puts a "serious guide of.." together for coaster creds. I mean, I've been on coasters that none of you young'uns can ever ride cause they aren't around any more. So do I count coasters, that nobody can ride any more? Hey, it's my word against yours, hmm? What-ever. Have fun debating the subject, bois & gurls.
CoasterFanatic Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I have been to SFMM twice and both times Deja Vu was closed. I have had enough ... I am counting it!
tngdiablo Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Well, I think that if you relocate a coaster and the theming and environment surrounding the ride changes, then you should count it. Then again I counted Cheetah Chase and Wild Maus at both Busch Gardens parks.
ParkTrips Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I have been to SFMM twice and both times Deja Vu was closed. I have had enough ... I am counting it! [/quote You should count the ones at SFOG and SFGAm too.. same difference
ebl Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 "There's no law to credits. Just count them however you want to." Good! Now I can count all the driveways I've ridden! Eric
CoasterCrazy Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I count any coaster that is on RCDB, that I have been on! I have been to SFMM twice and both times Deja Vu was closed. I have had enough ... I am counting it! I have been on the Deja vu's at SFMM and SFOG the only reason I haven't been on the one at SFGAM is because I have never been to that park! I guss I'm somewhat lucky because I got the Deja-vu credit on my first visit since it was built!
OldJJman Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 I guss I'm somewhat lucky because I got the Deja-vu credit on my first visit since it was built! You are lucky! Deja-Vu @ SFMM, 17 rides on media day Deja-Vu @ SFGA, went in '02, '03 and finally rode it this year. ('05) Deja-Vu @ SFoG, went in '02, '03, '04 and '05. I have yet to ride it. JJ
momo1tx Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 Does a coaster count as a credit if you only ride it once, and you have to get off at the MCBR due to technical difficulties. (Hypothetical Question)
CoasterFanatic Posted December 17, 2005 Posted December 17, 2005 ^ & ^^ Kind of like only riding one side of The Racer or Grand National
