^Thanks for sharing those photos. Really don't like the huge Ferrari logo though, it's looking like it'll be a really good coaster but the concept art looked much better in my opinion.

Ah, I assumed they were going to put three signs up there, I suppose it could though, the drop tower wouldn't be all that tall though. I'm very interested in this coaster as I'm very curious how this magnetic launch compares to the hydraulic system...and that awfully wobbly looking break run lol. At least they got rid of the heartline spiral coming down as I thought TTD would be much better without it and make the drop seem much bigger.

^The original concept art did show two Intamin drop towers on it but they've been replaced by S&S shot towers. And if one sign doesn't look very good i can only imagine how it's going to look once the other two are up on the other side.

How does this park work with "Guests of Exceptional Size"? For reference I can fit into Wild Thing, High Roller, Excalibur, Corkscrew and Northern Lights at Valleyfair in Minnesota. However, I can't fit in Steel Venom, Power Tower or Renegade. Any test seats?

 

Looking to maybe go next week but I am worried.

what is your definition of "exceptional size"?

i am quite tall 1m97 and have been able to do everything in the park.

I just had to shrink a little for Hurakan Condor.

you have tests seats at the entrance of some attractions as I remember (Shambalah, Stampida...)

Hi!

 

Shambhala can be a bit of a bitch with large riders. There have been many reports of people being turned away at the station because the lapbars couldn't be locked. It's weird because it has the same trains as some of the American B&M hypercoasters yet this one tends to be more restrictive. However, there is a test seat at the beginning of the line which might be helpful.

 

As for the rest of the park, there should be no problem with Dragon Khan, Furius Baco or Stampida.

I was there yesterday and there was only 1 train x coaster in every major except Furius Baco.

Hi, I might be going to PA, and I wanted to know afew things. I will be going off peak on a Friday and am only interested in the rides, how long do I need to spend to really get a good go on all of them? Also, is fast pass available for purchase on the day if it gets busy? And finally, will it be busy?

With one day it's tipically enough for riding majors and credits, but it depends on the crowds. Express pass is always available

I know it's probably a bit late in the day, but just incase anyone else is googling and finds this.

 

 

I'd be heavy enough. I alter my weight a bit, usually hovering around 16st and 20st. I find i can fit on everything at about 17.5st weight, however, I carry a lot of my weight in my legs/ass.

 

Fitting onto Furious Baco, Khan, (and pretty much every other ride) I am fine, regardless of size. However, Shambhala is the pain in the ass (literally).

 

The test seat is a bit of a waste as it can close properly on you, and you can still find the actual seats too tight. The amount that they need to close/lock the seat is much tighter than you'd expect.

 

When I was on Shmabhala, i would have two guys trying to push the harness closed (and in fairness, they're subtle about it, they don't draw loads of attention to themlseves or try to embarrass you or anything).

 

Thing is, it's very dependent on where you carry your weight. Having it on my legs/ass made it a tight fit for me, but I seen guys twice my size getting on without any problems at all. They were huge people, but their weight was in the belly, and not the legs.. so.. make of that what you will.

Can anyone tell me what the story is with the park these days? I was there 2 or 3 years ago. Ferrari land was just being announced at the time. Looks like i'll be back there this october for a short while so may pop in for a day.

 

Is there anything new or interesting to ride/try out in the park at all? From a quick google, ferrari is being worked on, but not actually open to the public?

As to the rest, they added angkor (a splash battle) in 2014 (don't know it you already caught that or not), gave tomahawk new trains and have been retracking stampida. Probably there were quite a few other things too but honestly I haven't been following the park's news lately

About the retrack on Stampida, I went last week and the first part of the layout was perect: gorgeus banking, some good pops of airtime and a smooth track, but since I entered the tunnels and the trains changed from racing to dueling... Very rough, poor thighcrushing restraints and uncomfortable lateral G's. Tomahawk it's perfect with the Millenium Flyers, a little but good CCI with GCI smoothness.

Also, they are opening since last week the Far West halloween walkthrought all year round, but you have to pay 5 extra euros...

^About that first retrtacked bit on stampida: how were the laterals? You only mentioned them in the last part and I remember one of the things I found the most fun about the coaster were the laterals. I only rode it once but that one ride wasn't really rough. Not smooth, but not too rough at all. However, I'm glad they've been taking care of it as apparently it got quite shaky and uncomfortable.
