Vonni
^ Actually its the round building across from the Hannibarrels. The suspended ladder game is right next to the intrance of the building.
jk1w
^I always wondered what that building was, never quite figured out why they blocked the paths on the left and right of the building.

Vonni
^ It was an honest mistake. So much has changed at the park through the years its completely understandable. I mean look at the Dolphin Show....It went from Dolphin show, to Robin Hood show, to a coaster lol!
Godwyn
^Oh wow! I totally forgot about the dolphin show! I use to have a home video of it. Might have to do some looking around the house and see if I still have it.
HWFan
If they are going to mainly operate one side, I wish it would be the side that rarely is used. Its a much better ride experience in my opinion, and it feels longer. Uh don't you think they have a reason? How in the world are they supposed to get wheelchairs and handicapped guests to the less used side farther away from the main path? With the closer one, there is a ramp right down to the flume. Edit: I didn't mean to sound so sarcastic and rude. Edited August 14, 2013 by HWFan

Uh Both the Flumes load and unload exactly right next to each other so a handicapped intrance for EITHER side would not be any sort of problem or major change! I was simply saying that I prefer the side of the ride less used. Your attitude is not needed so try adjusting it before you reply to one of my posts, ok? I promise I really have nothing against you with the attitude that came out in my post. I was frustrated and dealing with something else, but at the same time, the way the flume is currently set up, the handicapped ramp goes right down to the water on the right side of the log on the right side of the flume while normal guests board on the left side of that side of the flume. Then they exit where they got on instead of the normal exit. The other flume is not accessible without the use of the bridge and steps. I'm sorry. I know it's confusing to type. Again, sorry my frustration came out in my post...
HWFan
The park opened in 1971, which would make 2015 the 44th year of operation, which isn't a big deal like 2016 would be. Is it the 15th anniversary of the Boss? Or maybe the 20th anniversary of Batman? I was actually referring to the centennial of one of the rides. I'm sure all enthusiasts would love to see a full renovation and maybe even a relocation to another spot.
ZeroGravity55
Fresh off of Screamscape Rumor - (8/14/13) Screamscape sources tell us that a more costly plan to replace the park’s Scooby Doo dark ride with a Justice League themed ride, possibly similar to the one that opened in Australia, was unfortunately put on the back burner for now. We can hope it may come back in 2015 or 2016. That said... there are still persisting rumors claiming that plans to revise The Boss as Iron Boss, courtesy of an IBox conversion from Rocky Mountain Coasters may be in development. One source last week claimed to have seen RMC staff talking with Six Flags staff actually standing in front of The Boss. I have doubts we’ll see this for 2014 either however, maybe in another year or two. In the meantime, the only attraction I’m hearing that SFSL will likely add in 2014 is an Aqua Twist wet flat ride. Stay tuned!

ZeroGravity55
^^ It's a shame that Scooby Doo has went out of style. Was one of my favorite shows when I was a kid. That being said, I say it's about time for a remodel or to replace the ride. I'm definitely more intrigued that people from RMC were supposedly at the park last week. Hopefully that means Iron Boss for 2015!

As appealing as that does sound, I think they are just going to do the generic theme like they did at La Ronde.

I really like the idea of Aqua Twist, I just wish they would give it a different theme and name, but its better than nothing and certainly better than a Boomerang lol! Does anyone know exactly how wet you get on an Aqua Twist?
ZeroGravity55
^ Anything is better than a Boomerang! Heck, getting nothing is better than a Boomerang!
The Westate
^ I don't agree. A boomerang is a new addition to the park, and the GP don't care that it's used. When Carowinds added Head Spin as Carolina Cobra, there were a lot of GP that were very excited about it.
ZeroGravity55
^ That's really just my own personal preference. I completely get that it was a nice addition to the park and that the GP goes crazy for anything that goes upside down.
SFZIP
Fright Fest appears to be much stronger this year, than in past years it includes the following attractions - (1) Total Darkness - new in Sound Stage No. 2, (2) - regular Haunted House (name?)- old Mine Train station building, (3) Blind Fury - inside shade arbors by Thunder River, (4) Insanity Alley - behind Empire Theater by Batman, (5) Zombie Paintball Apocalypse - replacing the Haunted Hayride and (6) Holi-dead - returning Terror Train (themed to haunted Christmas). The shows will include Love At First Fright, Trick or Trace hypnotist and likely the other shows that the park had last year, it all starts in just 6 weeks. Vonni
I think the zombie paintball apocolypse is really cool, but I am not happy at all that they got rid of the hayride! That was my favorite part of Fright Fest! There is PLENTY of room all around the park to do the Zombie Paintball Apocolypse, there was no need to do away with the hayride. That is so disappointing to me.
Peeps28
there making good use out of an old ride.aqua twist and the barrels are have basically the same purpose.the platform spins and the cars do also.apperently the barrels was still a functional ride.smart move by six flags by not tearing it down years ago.
