And had the worst ride I've ever had on any Justice League (only the "Barrel" effect working, and the car didn't STOP in front of any screens - just kept moving.   we told the op she needed to call maintenance for a hard reboot.

Shocking!!!!  not...

By August... no effects and it will be a walk-through

JL was kind of funny actually. It was like it was in little old lady mode, just trolling along verrrry sloooow so no one got jostled or scared. Hopefully, a computer reboot got it up and working properly again. Bert and I had a fun few hours at the park though and the new menu at Fowl Ball was nice. The chicken tenders aren't new, although they were quite good, but they now have cheddar biscuits, peach cobbler, and coleslaw (which actually was more like a kale salad) all recommended.

On another note, I realize Tsunami Soaker is probably not reopening ever but it sure is going to look kind of sad sitting there dead all summer. Too bad it didn't work out and let's hope the body isn't there as long as the dead Hannabarrels were 🙄

Based on what a ride op at Mr. Freeze told me while waiting for maintenance to push the train back into the station, this will probably be JL's last year as it has the highest maintenance cost, lots of downtime, & its license expires at the end of this year.

Since it is no longer 3D, they should gut it and start over with something else.

I'm not surprised. I always thought SFSTL would do a shitty job of keeping the effects working. I wasn't alone.

People still love dark ride boat rides, like Monster Mansion. They're more and more unique. Refurbishing Scooby into something else could have possibly been less expensive and more reliable for the long haul. It wouldn't have to be a shooter and you can ditch the 42" height requirement for families. I preferred Castaway Kids much more. Keep it simple.

I fully understand why Six Flags tried the Justice League concept. It truly was something out of character for the company.

Unfortunately Six Flags preventative and ongoing maintenance budgets aren't compatible with the concept over the long haul.

I'm pretty sure the license expiring thing isn't an issue though. They'll renew the DC license if it is actually expiring next year.

yup. . ZERO chance they don't renew DC License. .. I"m sure for multi years - across the whole chain.

too much has been invested in the DCU, and some parks (Fiesta, SFOT, SFOG) have really incredible DCUniverse sections.

It's a bit interesting that in general Cedar Fair has been a fair bit less ambitious when it comes to dark rides. The Boo Blasters rides were all installed by Paramount, and outside of those there really aren't many dark rides at legacy Cedar Fair parks at all. Six Flags has had way more, with several parks having two or more dark rides. I do wonder what the future of dark rides is in the merged company.
