coasterguy618
Why do and how do coasters stall in loops or inversions? -Gaven
Twister II
I only know of 1, and that was Deamon at SFGAmer. The reason was because of a broken wheel axle, which just happend to stop the train on the loop.
Mr.Six
Lets all not forget what happned on Chiller at SFGadv. How the train stalled during the roll. In that case it was simply a weight issue. A better example of it was when TTD got stuck at the top. Its a one in a million chance but it does happen. _six
robbalvey
Don't forget about Sirocco at Walibi Belgium getting stuck upside down! That was probably the 1st coaster ever that I heard about to get stuck in a loop! Also, due to a malfunction on the train which allowed itself to get wedged in the loop. --Robb

benzo41190
Didnt a Vekoma corkscrew get stuck during a corkscrew? Also I though there was some looping coaster with t-bars that got stuck in a inversion.

Dr Freeze
and let's not forget the tragic Mindbender accident. what was this?
Angry_Gumball
The stall at SFMW was due to a non-releasing cable, which slowed the train down prior to entering the boomerang and voila! Stranded riders enjoying a boomerang section without the headbanging.
Dark Vampire
I can remember sirroco (now turbine) here in Walibi Belgium, I think it would be scary with no shoulder restrains:
CoasterFanatic
^ Old Schwartzy would be proud. See ... you don't need OTSRs after all
Skyscraper
OMG ! Being suspended with only a lapbar is scary ! This is the first time i see a picture of a train with lapbar stuck in a loop. I always wondered if lapbars were really safe, I think i've got the answer now ! All coasters should be retrofitted with lapbars, no headbanging anymore ! benzo41190
it looks like the people are hanging on for life  That one guy is like hanging on to the head restraint. Instead of taking people out one by one, why dont they push the train? I mean they did it on TTD, why not in a loop?
YoshiFan
I was thinking the same thing looking at that picture. It seems like it would be easier to just push the train out of the loop.
rollermonkey
I believe it was inferred that there was a problem with the train. That could make it very difficult to push it out of the loop! Chris B
deathmole
Didnt a Vekoma corkscrew get stuck during a corkscrew? I think that was the Corkscrew at Atlon Tower's, but it did'nt stop "on" the corkscrew, it just valleyed between them, which has probably happened a good few time's to corkscrew's.
