Life of Brian is great, but for Python you just have to be special to get it.

On the note of John Clease, anyone ever seen Fawlty Towers? Funniest show ever! Any Pythonite needs to see Fawlty Towers.

I have all three of the Monty Python Movies, and my favorite is Holy Grail.

"OOOOoooOOOooOO!"

"No, it's 'Agghhhh', from the back of the throat"

"No no, 'OOOooo' as in surprise and alarment"

"Oh, you mean 'AAA!'"

"Yes, thats right, AHHHHHH!"

I voted for the Holy Grail just because it caused the most trouble in the UK with places banning it etc. Really I love them all.

In addition I have also really enjoyed the 'Live At The Hollywood Bowl' show.

^You mean, "I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts. Here they are a standing in a row...?"

I've never seen the movie, but I've heard the song

HOLY GRAIL KICKS! Funniest movie ever! I loved the killer bunny and the sword fight.

"Ha, I cut off your arm!"

"What are you talking about, that's only a flesh wound!"

Please remove yourself from the internet and obtain a copy of Holy Grail immediately.

Seriously.

Still here?

This should be required viewing for every human being on the planet earth.

^check this out. I was talking to a couple of Northern Ohio students in one of the burbs of cleveland. in an art appreciation class, they were required to watch Holy Grail at school and write a report on it. this was a high school.

Man, all we had was really bad docs' back when...

Definitely Holy Grail for me. I've never seen Life of Brian, and Meaning of Life is just...revolting!

Holy Grail's a fun movie, but all the overquoting of lines by people around me outside of this site gets a bit tiresome after a while, hehe.

You silly English K-nig-hts! (doesn't spell like it sounds, does it?)

Your Mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries,

I fart in your general direction!

Now go away! Or i'll taunt you a second time, you silly Arthur King!

that movie has so many good lines..

Holy Grail was very good - it was done on a shoestring budget. However, being the devil's advocate that I am, I voted for Life of Brian. It was very controversial and even a year ago when Mel Gibson's epic was coming out, it resurfaced. Meaning of Life was okay but sort of reminded me of their "Contractual Obligation Album" - I don't think their hearts were really into it.

A couple of movies missed in this poll are "... And Now For Something Completely Different" and "Live at the Hollywood Bowl". I also consider Jaberwocky, Time Bandits and The Rutles as semi-Python movies.

"From now on, I want you to call me Lorretta."
