GwaziBSRider1
This park is turning out great. It's a shame that Miler contract didn't go through because a kiddie coaster would be a nice addition. I'm betting that the Theater won't be around too much longer, since their popularity dwindled quickly in most parks.
coasterbill
I really want to see you break away from the strict grid path layout. I think doing so will help your park-making immensely.
MIAfan88
Lost track of this park, but this continues to look really good. Hopefully I can go back to following this.

I agree with coasterbill. The path layout right now is functional, but doesn't really enhance the park for me. The architecture and rides are pretty good in this park so a good layout would benefit it greatly. I am actually trying to work on more unique path layouts and landscaping myself as my current park is pretty much a big loop cut down the middle with a center area. coasterbill
I read it... and I still stand by what I said. I think if he makes that change within his 10 year plan then the park will be much better than it is now (and that's not to say I don't like it now because I do... that's why I'm being so nit picky). Password121
I am absolutely aware of what real layouts of parks are like, and I have a plan to make this park's resemble that better. As I've said, this park is all about realism. No park ever completely overhauls the layout in one year. That's ridiculous. I know I keep saying this, but with every passing year, the park is that much closer to being what I envisioned when I started the park. Give me some time and I promise I will keep doing my best to improve. Until then, other suggestions (outside of layout complaints) are very much appreciated. Even ideas on HOW to improve the layout are great. I have my plans, but nothing is set in stone; I'm not playing ahead of the updates just for that reason- to make your ideas into a reality. Thank for the continued support and criticism.

Thank for the continued support and criticism. I don't think you should change the layout of this park now, as that would indeed be unrealistic. I'm just saying for future purposes maybe try to change things up a bit. The layout now, as I stated before, is functional and realistic. I think it works for this park. It's very orderly and clean. I'm not saying that this layout is bad or detracts from the quality of the park, I just think that with more creative layouts and landscaping you could really make some great parks since your architecture and ride design are already good. I trust that whatever you have coming will improve this park even further.
Password121
One last stop at the park for this season. These images were taken in the fall of 1997- most of them speak for themselves. From the looks of it, next year just might be the year the new management delivers on their promise and shows off what they can do. While they don't promise a new attraction each year like the old owners, it seems as though they're willing to make a big mark. Comments/criticism appreciated! This teaser was placed where it could be easily seen, "Soaring in 1998" Construction fences went up surrounding the main midway, encompassing over 6 acres, as well as three classic park flat ride staples Trees were cleared past the Scrambler I was able to grab this shot behind the new picnic pavilions... backstage areas. Whatever this is, it's going to be big.

Password121
The 1998 opening update is a work in progress, hopefully I can release it sometime this weekend. I'm very excited to reveal this year's additions; 1998 will be the largest expansion since initial park construction, with a total investment of over $15 million. Stay tuned! Password121
Look for the next update to be released later this week. I apologize for not getting it up earlier, I just haven't had as much time as I'd like to work on Frontier Forest the last few weeks, combined with a lot of trial and error, final scenery touches, etc. I appreciate the continued interest in the park- 1998 and the years that lie ahead should be worth the wait. I'll leave it at that.
Password121
Finally, after a long, yet exciting offseason, it is time to reveal what we've kept locked away for over two years. Frontier Forest is proud to announce the addition of Tempest, the region's longest custom inverted roller coaster, from renowned coaster manufacturer, Bolliger & Mabillard. Just like a raging storm, Tempest reaches speeds of approximately 54 mph over more than 2,900 feet of track. Tempest features two trains of seven cars each, allowing for a theoretical hourly capacity of 1,450 guests. Â "Tempest is just the first phase of the long term plans we have to make Frontier Forest one of the premier amusement parks on the east coast, one that is a destination for both families and thrill-seekers alike." Touching the 10 story height mark, Tempest is the tallest and fastest roller coaster at Frontier Forest Exiting the second of four inversions, a zero gravity roll over the ride entrance plaza Following the zero-g roll and on-ride photo, an upwards helix slows the pace Riders come within inches of the spectators below Following more twists and turns and two flat spins, a helix finale leads into the brakes Tempest, like other B&M inverted coasters, features the signature pre-drop. As you can see, Tempest dominates the surrounding midway The park expanded food options with the Tempest Tavern The new location of the rides formerly occupying Tempest's plot By early afternoon on opening day, Tempest's queue reached nearly 90 minutes Overview of the 1998 expansion, the largest investment since initial park construction. willthegolfer
This is a really good layout. It flows nicely, and I love the zero g roll over the entrance area. Very nice custom invert. One thing I willl say though is that this could benefit greatly from some scenery and theming. The station does this pretty well, and I know you dont use CS so this may be harder, but I think a stormy apocalyptic theme would be great here. I think overall it just needs a but more flare and style to the area around the coaster, not just the station. The layout is great, however, I love how it's small, but not jumbled, it all flows very nicely and the elements all work well. The coaster is great, and everything looks pretty clean, but I would try to add some more theming and style around the coaster just to take it that one step further. coasterbill
This is easily the best thing in the park so far... I like that you paid attention to the support structure and that the coaster broke up the grid a little bit. Nice job!

Im glad you like how it turned out, I did quite a bit of experimenting with different layouts, and this compact, four inversion model worked best for the location/aesthetics. As for the theming, Tempest, along with most B&M inverts, is not meant to be highly themed. In this case, all I was trying to do was keep the area uncluttered while looking clean and scenic. See: Patriot (Worlds of Fun), Batman (SF parks), and Talon (Dorney Park) as Tempest's primary inspiration. Tempest looks really good as an Real B&M Invert! Now I'm hoping to see this park in person! Thanks for the comment! I don't know if you'll ever see Frontier Forest in real life, though This is easily the best thing in the park so far... I like that you paid attention to the support structure and that the coaster broke up the grid a little bit. Nice job! Thanks, I thought you would like this one, coasterbill. This was one of the rides I had planned from the day Frontier Forest was an initial concept. That side of the park was almost "waiting" for something like this invert, and I have a few more of these before its all said and done. IT'S AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know about that, but I'm glad you like it! Â Thanks for the comments, everyone. Keep them coming, along with any suggestions or ideas. I'd love to incorporate some of your ideas into the park.
Password121
The 1998 season has proven to be one of the best so far for Frontier Forest, and it seems they may try to build off that momentum in '99. Here are some shots to keep you updated around the park, awaiting an official 1999 announcement. Comments/suggestions appreciated! Tempest has proven an astounding success among visitors. I wonder if we could see more projects from B&M at the park in the future. One of the more noticeable changes during the season was removal of the old Haunted House, which has been SBNO for quite a few years now The Bumper Boats that were installed just last year have been removed along with the surrounding landscaping A clearing in front of Corvus ...and another adjacent to Pendulum A look at the Forest Flyer, which is regarded as a "classic" park attraction and wooden coaster. This icon at the front of the park is what lifted the park to fame twenty years ago in 1978. 1998 overview. Comments appreciated!
IronWolfman
The park layout looks great and you have a decent ride selection, too! I'm glad to see all the unpopular things that the park has been removing to make room for new attractions as well. The only thing I'd add is queue covers for all your major coasters if they don't have them already, as I can see the park is about to get pretty popular pretty quickly.
