prozach626 Posted August 4, 2018 Posted August 4, 2018 The fact that this thread has had so many posts is ridiculous... and I love it!
DoinItForTheFame Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Stuffed Spinach Artichoke Alfredo Burger??? YES PLEASE!!!
Nrthwnd Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 ^ Well, that looks a lot better than the crappy macaroni cheese-in-a-burger I had at the PNE, in 2016. A few pieces macaroni? And where was "the cheese" in this thing? A one and done for me. )o: $12.00? Oh well, worth a try I guess.
Philrad71 Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 ^ Ewww...can't say that I blame you there, Bill. But the artisan cheeseburger poutine? That sounds heavenly!
Nrthwnd Posted August 20, 2018 Posted August 20, 2018 ^ Welllll......they are back this year, practically in the same spot they've been, for a few years, lol. But I won't try the poutine. Or any poutine at The Fair.. Already have my fave home place: http://www.belgianfries.ca And sadly....no Cricket Burgers this year at The PNE. So, I might try the Alligator Sliders from the same place. "Get your Alligator Sliders here!" This pic is from last year's Fair. So I have no idea, if any of those on the board ~ Wild Boar? ~ are available this year. I will be checking it out, later on.
Nrthwnd Posted September 1, 2018 Posted September 1, 2018 Well, the Cricket Burger was available again at Gourmet Burgers, at this year's PNE. But I decided to get their Black & Blue Burger instead. And it was really good! Packed with meat, and blue cheese....and not a lot of pineapple, which was fine by me. What their Special Burgers were, at this year's PNE. They looked extremely messy. Le Menu. What I chose. Also ordered fries for another $4. Had a coupon, so I paid $15 Cdn. for it all. LOL. Voila! It was awesome! I would definitely get it again.
Nrthwnd Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 ^ Geez, this is getting too wierd, even for me.
michaellynn4 Posted September 3, 2018 Posted September 3, 2018 ^^ I think I'd much rather have that spider burger from a few pages ago.
bert425 Posted September 4, 2018 Posted September 4, 2018 I had an "iHoB" burger on Sat. . and yes, I took a pic of it. LOL. .will post in this thread when I get that off the phone
Nrthwnd Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Two great burgers I found, on Rai Fox's awesome TR about his and his buddies' one week stay at Knoebels Park! http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76248 Great photos of the burgers, by the way! Very yummy looking. Old Force Brew Co. Do-It-Your-Selfie! (o; Nickle Plate Grill @ Knoebels Golf Course
Rai Fox Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 I didn't know this thread existed, now I have 30 pages or so to go through! *drools* Adding to Nrthwnd's post, the first was a build-your-own-burger with beer cheese, bacon, and sauteed mushrooms. The second was Nickel Plate's Firebox burger - Pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and sriracha mayo! Both were absolutely fantastic.
CaptainUnknown Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Today, 9/18 is National Cheeseburger Day in America! Be sure to celebrate!!
Rai Fox Posted September 18, 2018 Posted September 18, 2018 Today, 9/18 is National Cheeseburger Day in America! Be sure to celebrate!! I did! (Even though I had to go out in a torrential downpour and walk down a river that had been a street a few hours before for it!)
Nrthwnd Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Wonder when ours in Canada, is? (Looking it up...) Seems it's Canada's National Holiday today, too! Burgers and fries look good btw ^. Where did you buy them? EDIT to add: I just convinced David to get us cheeseburgers (A&W, we enjoy their food) and fries AND onion rings for dinner tonight! With extra Dings. Damn, I'm good.
Rai Fox Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Those are from Harry's Burger Bar in Providence, RI. Pretty great; sliders pressed with onions, topped with portabello, and sweet potato fries with some kind of green aioli that I couldn't quite identify. Harry's is quite good but the "lower end" burger place the owners have around here; they have four Harry's locations that are pretty much sliders and beer, a very good taco place, and then Luxe, a much higher end burger place with Wagyu beef and every topping you could possibly imagine; Luxe is on the pricer side but absolute fantastic, probably the second best burger place I've ever been to. ...now I know where I need to get back to this weekend
Nrthwnd Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 ^ While we're on the subject of Best of, etc....... This one is by far The Best Burger Place in The World for us. And they have three kinds of beef burgers from Irish/Premium to Angus to Wagyu. And wonderful choices of topping and the fries are excellent, too! http://www.burger-bar.nl/ In Amsterdam, NL. That's me in the white t-shirt. The woman I have no idea about. Easy set up and serve area. You can sit up at this serving bar, like sushi bars, yakitori places....and watch/smell the work. (o: David's looking forward to our first burgers, there. Fries 'R'R'R Us! And "Happy Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day," tomorrow! Arrr..... Messy and sooooooo woofy enjoyable. We went back twice more, before heading on to Paris! We split an order of fries, and a grape soda to save a few coins. We just love eating burgers, around the world, LOL! Mid-Sptember, 2015.
Rai Fox Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Ooh, that looks goooood. Sadly not somewhere I'll be able to get to any time soon, but maybe someday! And best of? Absolute best burger ever, if you ask me? https://www.universalorlando.com/web/en/us/things-to-do/dining/the-cowfish/index.html I truly hope that someday I find a better burger, because I want to taste something even better than that...but I don't expect that I ever will.
DoinItForTheFame Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Well, with Thanksgiving a few months away... I guess it's time we start preparing for...
Nrthwnd Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 (edited) Found that Heinz is now promoting and selling Mayochup in the U.S. Do you like it, or would you prefer these two condiments, used separately? It DOES save one plastic (or glass, depending) container. Edited September 21, 2018 by Nrthwnd
anonymouscactus Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Isn't "fries sauce" the same thing? Not popular here, but I like the combo.
Nrthwnd Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 Well, they sell mayo mixed with various mustards now. Dijon Mayo anyone?
