larrygator Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 Looking at the list so far there is nothing that really excites me maybe other then Helix. Does it seem like there are fewer coasters being built this year? rcdb shows just over 30 new coasters for 2014. In 2013, they reported over 150 and over 120 in 2012. Of course a lot of new coasters in lesser traveled places don't get placed into rcdb until after they are discovered, but it certainly is a weak year. Besides Helix and Goliath (SFGAm), the Intamins at Cincitta World could be interesting.
Nrthwnd Posted October 4, 2013 Posted October 4, 2013 ^ Hey, it's probably just an economic slow down. No great loss. And things'll probably pick up in 2015.
larrygator Posted November 10, 2013 Author Posted November 10, 2013 I added Seabreeze's new rides. I'm guessing that the Wave Swinger will replace the YoYo
KingRCT3 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 (edited) Since Romon World doesn't have its own topic, I'll be posting some interesting pics here. What's about a brand new Intamin in a giant mall, with a lift AND a top-hat? (Source : HZGarfield on NLE) This is a mirrored version of Kanonen, except for the lift. I do hope to see lap-bars on it! Edited November 15, 2013 by KingRCT3
Koasterking48 Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 It looks like a cross between a Blitz and a Mega-Lite. EPIC.
Mrlittle Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 ^^ that looks like its going to be another great Intamin. Why can't the mall near me get one of those?
Nrthwnd Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 This really looks amazing, with it's going to be all enclosed, and on top of mall shops! I wonder how or what they're going to do, to theme this one?
BotanicalStig Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Wow that looks great. Oh Intamin I wish parks in the US weren't so quick to count out the little Intamins. Unless it's the tallest, longest, most wooden-loopiest, it isn't cool. And that sucks. Look how popular Maverick is, every time I'm at CP it has some of the longest lines in the park. I just don't get it.
cfc Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 I wonder how or what they're going to do, to theme this one? Food Court: The Ride? All kidding aside, it's looks good.
WFChris Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Selva Magica in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico is opening up The Bullet next year.
larrygator Posted November 16, 2013 Author Posted November 16, 2013 Selva Magica in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico is opening up The Bullet next year. I thought they were still aiming for this year, let me check on it.
GwaziBSRider1 Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 It's hard to tell when Selva Magica will open up Bullet. If you go on their Facebook page, they have pictures of the track fully completed. It's just a question if they'll get it open before the end of the year. Either way, I can't wait to go back there and ride it!
rcjp Posted November 16, 2013 Posted November 16, 2013 Food Court: The Ride? Hahaha, that's awesome!! It does look really good, specially for an indoor ride.
KingRCT3 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Check the crazy theming that should get around the Intamin at Romon World (should gets its own thread now.) : This park will also receive the first X-Train: Source
rcjp Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 That theming looks awesome! I wonder if it will actually look that way once it's finished. According to RCDB it will be called Travel through Europe which, judging by the pictures, makes sense. I had king of forgotten the X-train but it sure looks nice.
KingRCT3 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Here's the X-Car (with X-train) at Romon World: Source : http://vhcoasters.com
gerstlaueringvar Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Wow, somehow I think parts of the track look really similar to SkyRush. The new Intamin looks wider than Kanonen, could it be possible to use the new lap bar trains?
KingRCT3 Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Every new Intamin opening this years (ten-inversions, LSM at Vialand...) uses trains with lap-bars, so I think there will be lap-bars here as well.
thrillrider Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Has there been any news on if Michigan's Adventure is getting anything new for 2014?
larrygator Posted November 28, 2013 Author Posted November 28, 2013 Has there been any news on if Michigan's Adventure is getting anything new for 2014? There haven't been any hints or announcements regarding MIA.
KingRCT3 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Happy Valley Shanghai is building a Familly Inverted B&M for 2014! RCDB It is said that the ride will have the same trains as Banshee, but without the vest.
GwaziBSRider1 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 ^ Where did you hear that it'll be a B&M? I figured it would be a knock-off Vekoma mini-SLC.
Ap0ptosis Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 Check the crazy theming that should get around the Intamin at Romon World (should gets its own thread now.) Holy WOW that theming! And this list is awesome!
KingRCT3 Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 ^ Where did you hear that it'll be a B&M? I figured it would be a knock-off Vekoma mini-SLC. My source is HZGarfield (MiyaPA Masane) on NLE, which is asian and often got news for us from there.
rcjp Posted December 14, 2013 Posted December 14, 2013 But B&M is not exactly the first manufacturer that comes to mind when it comes to family rides given that they've never made such thing, is it? If it is really true, I will be surprised (and not positively).
