Hotlanta Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Adlabs Imagica set to open tomorrow. Looks excellent. Can't wait to see it on my next trip to India: Their website: http://park.adlabsimagica.com/
Ultimate Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Once it hits RCDB, it is pretty much confirmed! So yay, to the B&M Floorless with 5 inversions! It is to be called Nitro!http://rcdb.com/6817.htm Those stats so far just scream Batman the Dark knight at SFNE to me. . Obviously I don't know anything about the actual layout of this ride, but Nitro is going to be taller and faster than Batman. I'm glad to see more floorless roller coasters being built - maybe someday a UK park will build one...
SharkTums Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I know the park is opening tomorrow, but have we heard about the two big coasters? Last I heard, they were NOT opening with the park.
Hotlanta Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I know the park is opening tomorrow, but have we heard about the two big coasters? Last I heard, they were NOT opening with the park. Went through their Twitter feed and didn't see anything. Yeah i don't think coasters are opening..
rtilley93 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I know the park is opening tomorrow, but have we heard about the two big coasters? Last I heard, they were NOT opening with the park. I was doing a bit of looking around about Adlabs Imagica as the park has interested me, and from a news article I found it appears Nitro isn't opening until May. Also, a video posted to the park's YouTube page giving a overview of attractions shows a rendering of Nitro, and as others have suspected it is similar to the Batman:Dark Knight at Six Flags New England, however it appears to be a mirror image and has an added helix at the end. Video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=pGhwO0Zmi4o#t=414s Article about Park including ride opening estimations - http://blogs.wsj.com/indiarealtime/2013/04/17/welcome-to-indias-own-disneyland/?mod=irt (PS. Apologies if the links aren't allowed - my understanding of the TOR is that the 50 post requirement was only for linking to personal content, and the content I'm linking does sort of back up my post, so again apologies if I've misinterpreted it)
ernierocker Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 ^You are fine to post those links and thanks for sharing.
EastCoastn07 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I know the park is opening tomorrow, but have we heard about the two big coasters? Last I heard, they were NOT opening with the park. Nitro is still under construction and Deep Space is nearing completion...For those interested, here's two photos I took in the park last Friday showing off the B&M.
EastCoastn07 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 And another one from earlier today...seems like they're picking up the pace on Nitro.
Hotlanta Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Thank you for those pics. Are you living in India now?
EastCoastn07 Posted April 26, 2013 Posted April 26, 2013 Thank you for those pics. Are you living in India now? Nope, just here on business...
rtilley93 Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Construction of Nitro looks to be progressing well. In a news report posted to YouTube it shows Nitro along with other clips of the park. Here's the best view I could find from the clip: Of note is the drop style which has not been seen on a B&M yet.
_koppen Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 The video is not avalible in Norway, can someone post some screenshots?
rcjp Posted May 28, 2013 Posted May 28, 2013 Neither is it here. Anyway, I've managed to see some pictures of the construction and the drop looks kid of odd for a B&M. Is this what their swooping drops will look now without the pre-drop? I thought they would do something a bit more like GASM, viper or shockwave' s drops where the track banks forward slightly and then it turns achieving the maximum vertical angle during the turn. This looks more like it gets to the maximum angle and then it turns. Well, we'll see what it is like.
Nrthwnd Posted May 29, 2013 Posted May 29, 2013 The video is not avalible in Norway, can someone post some screenshots? Not available to Canada, either.
KingRCT3 Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) No predrop B&M coaster! (As seen on Coasterworld.fr (thanks Gaga), from here, and here.) No predrop. For me it's a win, especially for that kind of drop. What do you think? Edited June 8, 2013 by KingRCT3
TXman308 Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Nice to see B&M experimenting a little bit. Has there been any other update on the Deep Space coaster? That's the Premier LSM, correct?
KingRCT3 Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I guess we have to get accustomed, but this drop is going to be far more interesting than a normal one! It's pretty like a half Megalite drop. Source
jray21 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Very interesting! Weird to see it without one. Thanks for the update.
pixelated85 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Could this be a mirror image of Batman-Dark Knight at SFNE, with some tweaking to the first drop? I know the stats differ, just looks like the layout could be the same.
