Nrthwnd
Our annual Out on Screen queer film festival is now over, and I must say I really went to a good number of enjoyable shorts and features this season. 12 times, which is up for me. Last year, after OOS came back from Covid stuff (was only online viewing for two years) I attended only 5 showings of films. It just depends on how I'm feeling, and how much I really want to see. And I do see the Opening, Mid-Week, and Final films, which at least is a minimum of three, lol. Anyway, very enjoyable this year. And looking forward to OOS' 36th Season! This year's OOS Pass, annually decorated by me.

Nrthwnd
Gave my final payment to David for my share of the what the refrigerator cost (back in late Dec). Great! Now I can take away the extra $150 (cdn) I've been paying to him, since Christmas.
Nrthwnd
Good for you! Sadly, I won't be able to make any travel plans for myself, until ..... 2026. We're hoping to do a last visit to Amsterdam and Paris .... and Disney of course. And then, The Big Trip, to Tokyo Disney Resort, when the rebuild of Space Mountain is complete and open. Probably 2028 0r '29. We hope.

Nrthwnd
Instead of posting my Happiness, after every D23 posting for all the parks that Disney has (except Japan - they're already set for their future with Fantasy Springs just opened and the new Space Mtn. re-build coming in 2027) and posted the various new attractions coming up... I am totally in awe of ALL the stuff coming to the other Disney parks! It's a true abundance of attractions opening in the next several years. Awesome! prozach626
Congrats. Good times. Mine: My daughter is killing it at swim lessons. My wife was/is a good swimmer. Her dad always wished he'd gotten her into it competitively. We might go that route, so we have her in private lessons a couple times a week and she loves it. She's four and she can swim the entire length of the large pool at our fitness club. Even my wife has gotten back into lap swimming, as a result. I'm teaching her to ice skate, too. I bought her a pair of Bauer hockey skates. Dare I say they are adorable when I put them next to mine. But, I don't think I can coax her into playing hockey after multiple fights that broke out during our first responder charity benefit game last weekend. Brutal. Not a fun 5-4 loss. At one point, I was on the ice when a fight broke out. I was standing next to a fucking giant on the other team, when almost everyone out there was going at it. I looked over at him and said, "Just so you know... I'm staying out of this..." He laughed. 1
Nrthwnd
Tomorrow is Opening Day at Playland(PNE), Vancouver ... finally! But - weather isn't going to be clear and sunny. More rainy most of the afternoon, etc. But rain or not, I planned to get there at opening and get my printed pass (no cell phone, so .....pffft.) and then tour the grounds. See how the north side of it all looks like, now that they're building the new Amphitheatre for 2026. Lost a sit down bar there (R.I.P. Ride Side Bar), but they have a few 'Beer Cabins' (don't know what else to call them) with seating near by. So, hopefully, I will be able to hold up, for standing in line and waiting, etc. Fingers crossed! What used to be, at the north end of Playland. Great spot to cool off, relax...and drink a beer or three, lol.
