PhishyBrewer Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Plus im always pay bills like car, cell, school, insurence, girlfriend, ect. Â ^What do you pay your girlfriend for?
BarryH Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 You can put me on the "strongly interested" list. I just have to figure out a few things, but I'm pretty sure I can go. I wonder if TPR is going to Japan in 2007? That would be pretty cool. Â Hey, are we going to stay at Pontius?
benzo41190 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Plus im always pay bills like car, cell, school, insurence, girlfriend, ect.  ^What do you pay your girlfriend for?  well ummmm you knoe    i mean you have to drive, you have to pay for everything between you and her 50.00 dollars for a movie!
thepoint4life23 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 do you think any time soon you will do one around the us. but i really want to go. so i will be getting back to you asap
SharkTums Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 More Answers! Â Where to send the deposit - Sorry I didn't include that on the flyer, I thought for sure everyone knew! My bad, I will be doing a new flyer today, meanwhile deposits can be sent to: Â Robb Alvey 24803 Magic Mtn Pkwy #1920 Valencia, CA 91355 Â We are NOT staying at Pontins! Â Money - You pay for airfare, 1 - 2 meals a day (depending on how much you eat!), and souvenirs. Your event fee covers: All transportation in the country, all park admissions, park perks, accomadations, at least 1 meal a day, snacks on the bus, group photo, tour shirt, tour dvd and photos, luggage tags, personalized itineraries, and more! Â Airfare - Again, part of our 'service' is helping you with your ENTIRE trip. Not just the part we're putting on. We will help you find great airfare. Â Benzo - unless you eat like 12 ACErs, or buy $100 souvenirs at every park there is NO reason in the world the trip would cost you $4K! Â Barry - Keep in mind space is limited, so don't take too long to decide to go! You know you want to! You'd actually meet Robb and have him confined on a bus! Â Keep asking questions and signing up!
thepoint4life23 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 is there any way i can do this under 2 g's.
robbalvey Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 ^ That would be fairly unrealistic. Keep in mind that the event fee alone will be between $1,600 and $1,800, which if you figure it out, is a really good value considering the exchange rate for the UK, hotel stay for all those nights, all your park admissions, food, transportation (which remember includes the bus, driver, gas, all tolls, parking, insurance, etc) a DVD, T-shirt, etc, and then you have to add airfare on top of it, which, from anywhere in the US to London shouldn't be more than $600 - $1000. Â We really did our best to plan this trip as 'budget conscious' as possible while still getting the most value for your money. Â --Robb
robbalvey Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 ^ Download TPR's UK Theme Park Trip 2006 Flyer! and to answer your question, at LEAST 12 parks.
CoasterCrazy Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 If I went on the trip alone would I be able to get my own room? Â My parents have told me that if I want to go I can go but they are unsure about traveling out of the country! Â I'm a little bit scared to travel alone! Since I'm only 19, what restrictions would I have in the UK?
Chrissie Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 (edited) ^None- In the UK u can basically do what u want when ur 18 Including drinking! Lol Edited August 23, 2005 by Chrissie
WillMontu Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I'm quite interested. I have no idea what I'll be doing in a few months as I'll be graduating college in December. Hopefully I'll have landed a proper full time job by then (rather than pushing "trolleys" as they're called in the UK) Â Just a few things: I don't drive (on either side of the road), so buses, trains, etc. are cool with me. My father lives in London, and may be able to help out with airfare I have a video camera! Â Also, for airfares, if you want to travel in style, try and get on Virgin Atlantic (even in coach!) Â Another question. What payment options do you accept? I prefer to use PayPal (I take it that you don't accept credit cards), but I can also write a check if necessary.
SharkTums Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 (edited) ^^^None! Â I'm pretty sure that you can do everything at 18 in the UK, I'm sure some of our Brits on the board can help you out with any more specific questions. Â That's a good point about travelling alone...for those of you who sign up you will receive a much more detailed form that we will use to 'match' you with a roomate, or if you know someone who is going you will specify that you want to be with them. Â We will figure out a "single supplement" for those of you who want your own room. It would more than likely add about $500 to the cost if you'd like your own private hotel room. Price quoted is on double occupancy as noted on the flyer. Edited August 23, 2005 by SharkTums
ParkTrips Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Sounds interesting.. I will have to look into this further and try and figure out if I can afford it I'm sure I'll be able to come up with the $$ though... Â This is a good deal though, better than what ACE would try to charge
SharkTums Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 ^^ We'll have to look into PayPal. The problem is that it takes out more and more fees all the time! Â Don't worry about driving as you'll have door to door service from the airports on a luxury coach! Â ^ Thank you! We worked hard to make sure it was a good deal! We contacted nearly 20 coach companies, are working with group discount rates at hotels/parks/etc. It's just hard right now between fuel costs and that darn exchange rate! But for 10 days to 14 parks, it's going to be a great deal!
Canobie Fan Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I would like to go... But how would the airport thing work? As say "20-30" people would be flying in from all over.. how would everone get to the right airport all around the same time?
robbalvey Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 (edited) Most flights from the US will get in late morning/early afternoon to one of those two major London airports. Those airports are also easily accessible by train/bus from central London, so if you wanted to fly in a day or so early, it's still very easy to get back to the meeting point. Â At the end of the day, we need to have a limited amount of accessible meeting points for the bus to pick everyone up so it made sense to choose the airports. Otherwise people would be required to take a taxi or some other transportation to the first hotel, and that would be very costly and not convenient! Â --Robb Edited August 23, 2005 by robbalvey
CoasterFanatic Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 ^ You would just have to schedule a flight that arrives before they depart. Some people will probably have to hang around the airport for a while.
BarryH Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 OK, I thought about it for 5 seconds and I'm in! I just have to send the mula tomorrow. It will make it to CA from FL in like 5 years! I just have to move some mula from savings to checking. Yes, I live in a complex world. Â I'm so excited! Â So how much should we budget for food? I'm not looking to eat at Chez Fancy, but just something cheap like McD's. Â Also, give me a private hotel room because I snore like a chainsaw! That is, unless someone wants to room with me. Â Wow, I get Robb confined on the bus? Oh baby! Â I think I will budget this: Â $1800: Mula for TPR $800: Airfare $400-$500: Food, souvenirs, etc. $10,000: Stripper money for tips and lapdances
nursemelis374 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Hmmmmmmmmmm . . . this sounds like a lot of fun. Maybe I will think about going and bring the female count up to 2 for this trip.
CaseyFish Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I have an important question, well for those of us that are tall (6'8") are there any height restrictions on the roller coasters over there? I ask this because I don't want to get over there and not be able to ride. Â Thanks, Casey
CreativeForce Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I gotta say that I'd be really interested in going but I would have to be one of those people "partnered" up with someone since my wife will not be out of school yet. Â Hey Robb are you guys planning on extending your trip for a couple of days and do Disney and/or Parc Astrix? If you're not, how much more do you think it would be to do that?
MagnumForce Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 if not for other things costing small fortunes next year (need a new car bad, need a house, have a wedding to pay for, honeymoon etc etc etc) I would definitely be up for this. Â Ah the joys of married life! Â There is always 2007
