larrygator
prknopp - thanks for presenting your point of view and experience in dealing with the new owner. Actually I'm shocked the trains haven't been moved yet. I could be wrong but it sounds like a lot easier procedure than dismantling the coaster. Even from a fiscal standpoint it would clearly be the proper move. The cars themelves would have resale value even if viewed only from a collector's standpoint. However, the more they are exposed to the elements, the less desirable they become. Personally I don't see how this coaster can be moved, resettled and made to run without a lot more money and major upgrades to get up to code. And then it wouldn't be the same coaster would it? I think your experience with the new owner further proves why many of us here are extremely cynical that this project can be completed.
CPmaverick
I'm not positive on this but the trains might be at Cedar Point, sitting inside Mean Streak. Something that looked like the red train was sitting half covered next to the Double Loop trains.
ernierocker
^Are you talking about the Big Dipper?? It was just said on the previous page that they are still sitting on site at Geauga Lake.
CPmaverick
^I don't think that is actually stated as fact anywhere, and the picture was from the auction day in 2008. Even on the ebay page from a few months ago it said the trains had been moved somewhere, but didn't mention where.
larrygator
So the question is, were the trains even included in the purchase of the coaster?
prknopp
As of at least just a week or so ago, the trains are still sitting at Geauga Lake out in the weather. Very few people know what was actually sold and to whom, if it was even sold. The claim is that they are the property of the "new owners". One of Kat's last posting on the net that I'm aware of notes they are still out in the weather but she has "plans" to move them. IF everything is as has been presented, I don't know what the big deal is. Let's move them.

prknopp
No, I noted what I had available to move the cars.
CPmaverick
If they are now at Geauga Lake, I wonder if the previous owner took them back to the park after selling the ride. Wherever they are, I hope they are saved since trains seem fairly easy to move in comparison to an entire coaster. Let's fire up those Pickups . OISU8P
Yes, they are on site. Here is an image I grabbed from the news video they released over a month ago. This was captures by me for the Prince's t-shirt contest. Speaking of t-shirts, were are the official ones?

chadster
^^^ dude, seriously, the comeback on the sarcasm disclaimer, which the disclaimer was a courtesy, didn't come off as sarcasm, many took it as serious, myself included. This was a rough thread to come into given the events, or lack thereof, surrounding saving the ride. I still respect any effort to save the cars, but the current owner doesn't seem to have any interest in it given a lack of response to your repeated inquiries. I know the ride has sentimental value to many, but sometimes it's best to just let it go. **Edit: Adam, the superman pic was classic, nice job.
