OISU8P
I can't bring myself to offer monetary help, but I can offer her help in passing calculus. Hit me up, Kat ps - only reply if you are hot. I hate to set you up for disappointment here, but given this “ps” criteria you will not be getting a reply for a long time….. In General On This Topic: This message she placed on the "Conspiracy Theories R Us” website is just amazing…. Christ, next she will be stating that she could not get it together due to hemorrhoid flair up. On a side note, whatever happened to all those shirts she was going to market? I was really thinking of buying one. I may want to open a museum someday of ultimate failures.

OISU8P
^True, I was not sure if I was able to directly name another website though by name. I can link straight to it if OK, I thought this since the original poster just copied her text and not a link to it. Still new and I getting a feel for the environment and I do not want to break any rules...
larrygator
^Links are always fine as long as the link is not deemed by the moderators for the sole purpose of promoting the other site. ernierocker
^^I am not exactly sure what you are talking about?? Are you talking about a different message than this one: Sorry I wasn't able to make it on Sunday. I had a really overwhelming week (my 5-year-old cat died on Tuesday, and I found out I'm failing calculus) and I had to take this weekend off to relax, recover and refocus myself. I feel so relieved and rejuvenated after this weekend and am ready to get back in to the groove of things! If you are talking about a different one than just copy and paste it over here because we would love to see it! OISU8P
^Nope that was the one on GLT that I was referring to. Thanks Larrygator, I understand now. Some sites out there are real hard on links and even do not allow them to Screamscape and such.
larrygator
^If the info from Screamscape is not confirmed via a Press Release we treat it as rumor and will move it to the Super Rumor thread here on TPR.
robbalvey
^ Well, then maybe the last 50 pages of this discussion should be moved to the super rumor thread!
OISU8P
Maybe not Robb. By Larrygator's definition you need to have a news source. Well, around the past 50 pages have been about how she does not know what the hell she is doing. Well, she proved that with a news source. I will link once again the proof that that should not be super rumor.. http://www.wkyc.com/news/local/news_article.aspx?storyid=153937&catid=45\ I wish she would do a new update soon. We need new material.
chadster
I just re-read that other site that hasn't been updated in forever and just really noticed where someone volunteered to get what I assume is the equiv of a "POD" at a discount and to help clean up. The response was they weren't taking volunteers onsite as access was limited. WTF??? not a thank you, we'll contact you, send us your info, nada, it was we only want your money and trucks but not you, but we asked for help, but we really don't want it because we can't take you onsite because we don't really know where it is or what we are doing behind the super secret closed doors because I can't add. cfc
^Since Cedar Fair owns the property on which the Dipper sits, I'm guessing that they're not too crazy about random people walking around there clearing brush--too much liability.
chadster
Exactly. No one thought before they spoke about gathering up volunteers and trucks, then, when one of a few people actually volunteered, they publicly brushed them off IMO, now thats truely sad and pathetic. Maybe someone pointed out to her that they needed someone (a company) licensed and bonded to do the actual work. This whole project used to make me laugh, now it makes me sick. I'll be honest with everyone, I did give it a bit of thought when I first saw it posted on ebay, like hey, cheap ride, I've got land to put it on, then, reality stepped up to the plate. How much to tear it down, how much to transport it, how much to repalce damaged supports, how much to pour new footers, how much to replace the track bed, how much to rehab the trains and mechanicals, how much in upkeep, how much in insurance, how much to physically operate (electric) etc, and the thought quickly and promptly left my mind, all in about 5 minutes. I'm no rocket scientiest, but as it gets colder, it's going to be harder and harder to get the thing out of there, some things just don't like to be tinkered with when it's frozen. So, in all reality, they have about 4 good months to get the thing gone. It'll be a miracle. For now, moving on to more important things like SFNO or Freestyle, oh who am I kidding... redfoot12
I believe they have until June 2011 to get the ride off the land. What tells me that Kat is in way over her head is that she doesn't realize the priority that this should take in her life in order to get this done. If she's too busy running weekend Halloween haunts and focusing in on school (not too well, by the sound of things) then I'm just going to assume nothing is going to get done by the end of 2010. I don't know too much about Northeast Ohio weather but how much is actually going to get done January-March? That gives her April and May to disassemble everything and transport everything from the site for storage. She clearly doesn't have the resources and time. robbalvey
So it's been exactly one month since the last update we've heard about this project. I think at this point it's really looking like PRINCE DESMOND has a much better shot at saving the Big Dipper! That is...if he makes it out of the IAAPA air vent! OISU8P
^Nah, she is going to have to spend the Christmas break relearning Calculus 1 it looks. Maybe she will pass next semester. I may donate five dollars next week to see if the website counter increases. I may also start to send her a daily request for updates to see were my five bucks is on helping out. After she fails, then I will take her to Judge Judy to get it back. I love this topic....
Swimace
Just because we haven't been given any updates doesn't mean things aren't happening! I mean, Cat is probably hard at work pulling up her grades in calculus and preparing for final exams. As you know, you can't really publicly discuss these things. She'll probably wait until final grades come out and then give us an update on how she did. Plus, she can afford to take a break from the whole coaster thing. She has PLENTY of time to raise the money she needs. Once her long awaited t-shirts come out you can bet the money is just going to start flowing! -Andrew

Wes
Well, it's a good thing Ohio is known for their mild winters, I mean they can get so much work done from...oh wait...ummm....
OISU8P
Wes, were you the person that donated $50 from this site? If so, do you get any information at all from your donation? The professional thing to do, is at least have a status given to those who shelled out $. Then again, maybe she thinks it is OK to not communicate even when there is no status.
