BonBonland to get Zamperla Giant Discovery

BonBonland located in my homecountry Denmark, is getting a new big flat from Zamperla.

The new Zamperla Giant Discovery will be called "Svend Svingarm" and will open Friday d. 30 april 2010.

Wow...that is a large ride.

 

I had no idea Zamperla even made rides of that size.

Spinspider is one of the most intimidating looking flat rides I've ever seen. At the top of its arc, it's way over the tallest trees.

 

I wonder how Bon Bon Land is going to theme this sucker. This is the home of the "Dog Fart Coaster," after all. Puking rats might make a good motif.

Holy crap! This thing goes over 70 miles per hour? Thats just insane and awesome and terrifying all at once!

The narrow structure of this ride makes it look deceptively large. It's hard to believe that this is no taller than a Huss Giant Frisbee.

I think the theming will be typical BonBonland style, with allot of colorful papmache figures.

In the video posted above, it does not look like there is a platform that lowers under the riders feet, like on Huss Giant Frisbees. Confirm or deny?

There is a platform, and the Zamperla Giant Discovery is actually 2 meters higher than the Huss Giant Frisbee.
