Gerstlauer1 Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 BonBonland located in my homecountry Denmark, is getting a new big flat from Zamperla. The new Zamperla Giant Discovery will be called "Svend Svingarm" and will open Friday d. 30 april 2010. Facts: Height: 44 m Max speed: 115 km/h G-Effect: 4,5 seats: 40 Duration: 3 min.
Gerstlauer1 Posted March 10, 2010 Author Posted March 10, 2010 Yup , Just like Spinspider at Tusenfryd, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myoQI4jgZUw
DBru Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Wow...that is a large ride. I had no idea Zamperla even made rides of that size.
cfc Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Spinspider is one of the most intimidating looking flat rides I've ever seen. At the top of its arc, it's way over the tallest trees. I wonder how Bon Bon Land is going to theme this sucker. This is the home of the "Dog Fart Coaster," after all. Puking rats might make a good motif.
themeparkologist Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 ^Do they have a Pelican Poop Plunge themed ride yet?
the ghost Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Holy crap! This thing goes over 70 miles per hour? Thats just insane and awesome and terrifying all at once!
nannerdw Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 The narrow structure of this ride makes it look deceptively large. It's hard to believe that this is no taller than a Huss Giant Frisbee.
Gerstlauer1 Posted March 11, 2010 Author Posted March 11, 2010 I think the theming will be typical BonBonland style, with allot of colorful papmache figures. Here is a link to the main page of BonBonland's website. In the middle you can see a spider or something, called "Svend Svingarm" http://www.bonbonland.dk/
triggernel Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 In the video posted above, it does not look like there is a platform that lowers under the riders feet, like on Huss Giant Frisbees. Confirm or deny?
RCFreak Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 shows the floor which seems to be the same on the Huss Giant Frisbees.
Gerstlauer1 Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 There is a platform, and the Zamperla Giant Discovery is actually 2 meters higher than the Huss Giant Frisbee.
nln00b Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I've always loved these rides And it opens on my birthday!
CorkscrewFoley Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 God, these rides are impressive! Now do the Discoverys have as much downtime as the HUSS Giant Frisbees?
