Here's something interesting you don't see too often. Removed track pieces on El Toro's second hill. Carpenters are doing a little track work apparently.

These were my exact thoughts. This is probably what Merlin didn’t do that allowed Colossus to go bad. Props to Six Flags!

I made that original post on Reddit lol god bless the Internet for all the lightning quick sharing! There’s some more work going on at the bottom of the turnaround. The piece of track covered by the white tarp is also being worked on.

They started up Nitro and Green Lantern. Edit: and now Superman.

 

I love this park. But I wonder what's up with Batman? This is the time it really shines.

So I'm scoping out the forecast for my possible trip (either Saturday or Monday) . . . .

 

Saturday - High 28; Low 15 (snow showers)

 

Monday - High 20; Low 8 (sunny)

Just got back from he park and let me say that its a trip riding Ntro in 18 degree weather. We stayed for about 2 hours and rode Nitro twice, Justice League, Dark Knight, Green Lantern and Harley Quinn. Batman was closed as well as Joker. We skipped out on Skull and Superman.

 

On another note The Pecan Pie Cider was awesome.

As mentioned, I was at the park this afternoon. It was brutally cold, but that didn't stop the park from running Nitro, nor me from riding it.

 

Also rode Justice League, which seemed to last longer than usual. Whether it was running more slowly, or it just seemed that way, it was nice to be in a heated building.

 

Nice day to close out the 2017 season.

So are we placing wagers on what's going to run/not run today? Projected high is 26, a good bit warmer than yesterday. It'll be around 22 @ opening.

Makes sense. One of the first stages of frostbite is numbness so you probably couldn't feel the hilariously excessive amount of headbanging or awful, throbbing leg pain.

All jokes aside, GL was actually running very smoothly yesterday. It's still a garbage ride, but there was no headbanging to speak of.
