NewsPlusNotes Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I think I'm curious to find out if the blue is primer and what color the supports will be! Mike
coolhandluke Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 I found it a bit ironic that right now (as the blue continues) this is receiving the inversed color scheme from the other "transformed" ride by SF. I'm sure it's just coincidence though.
sixflagsguy5 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 It'll look fine no matter what they do with it. The only bad color you can make a coaster is pink with neon supports.
glennborthwick Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Lo-q have confirmed electronic flashpass in place at magic mountain for xmas.
dj snow Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 Umm... okay? While you're at it, any news on the restrooms at La Ronde?
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 If they paint the rails yellow i'll scream! (No pun intended)
nycoasterguy Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 It looks like this shade of blue is most likely the primer considering how dull it looks, the final color will probably also be blue and this primer is to bring out the right shade of blue the color needs to look like. Like when your painting a room sometimes you need a special primer for the custom color you picked out to come out right.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I noticed the rails were still electric green on the far right of the painted section. Take a look for yourself.
drewxcore Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I personally think that this will turn out to be themed like "Scream!" at SFMM. The blue track is a similar shade of blue to that of "Scream!". I don't know if it might be cheaper for Six Flags to be painting the purple supports to more of a magenta (maybe they won't have to use a primer).
Rct3man777 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 If they paint the rails yellow i'll scream! (No pun intended) Which *THANK YOU GOD* they aren't!
coolhandluke Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I personally think that this will turn out to be themed like "Scream!" at SFMM. That will be one strangely-placed parking lot, way back in the corner of the park like that.
packfanlv Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 I personally think that this will turn out to be themed like "Scream!" at SFMM. That will be one strangely-placed parking lot, way back in the corner of the park like that. I think every park should have a parking lot themed roller coaster. Maybe this will become a trend!
Rct3man777 Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 ^Oh boy, I can see a new coaster coming up! It's a kiddie coaster called "Jenny's magical parking lot adventure"!
drewxcore Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 Well at least then it would match Medusa west. Even though it's no longer going to be Medusa. Every time i ride that, i look and see parking lot lines and think, "Six Flags, is it really that hard to lay out a few rolls of sod?"
astroworldfan1 Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 I personally think that this will turn out to be themed like "Scream!" at SFMM. Scream with a theme? -Tatum "Crank up the cement truck!"
theyd Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Do you guys think a Lex Luthor retheme is a good idea?
Bolliger&Mabillard Posted November 18, 2008 Posted November 18, 2008 Well since SFNE is losing a superman coaster(technically), mayber you can call it Kryptonian Escape or something. I can't wait for the creativity.
coasterdude5 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 I hope they intend on painting the supports. But the blue looks pretty good.
Hobbesx2 Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 The new colors are sick. I always thought there was a lacking of blue coasters. Also, isn't that the same purple-lavender color that Superman is getting? Did Six Flags just buy a buttload of it? (I didn't read most of the thread so if this is already answered don't get mad lol)
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 30, 2008 Posted November 30, 2008 ^Actually, it is a little bit similar to S:RoS. Just the opposite. (Supports blue, track purple) I think it looks interesting. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out a theme............. SFE
