coasterfreak101
^Man, if you haven't ridden in the first row, last car, you're missing out! Best seat in the house, hands down. I did really enjoy my front-seat ride I had at ECB as well - it feels great to fly down that track with nothing in front of you!

Austin11KD
Awesome day at Kings Dominion today! When I first got into the park, I darted for Dominator. The ride was a walk-on surprisingly! Then I headed towards the Congo and rode Backlot Stunt Coaster, I had to wait a few trains for that. After BLSC I headed straight to Intimidator 305. IT WAS A WALK-ON !!!!! I actually had the guts to put my hands up on it to, which I was proud of myself for, and then I rode it a second time, which was also a walk-on.. Then I went towards Flight of Fear. It was eh.. but still fun, it is kind of rough. So then I ate lunch that we packed to eat in the car, because of pricey food in the park.. We then headed towards Grizzly, which I thought was the best woodie! We rode on Ricochet, which was your typical Wild Mouse.. I didn't want to ride Hurler because, I didn't want to need rib replacement! We then rode Intimidator 305 again, which was awesome! We then proceeded towards Volcano, the line was HUGE! It was about 15 people away from being to the entrance.. So I didn't ride that :? Then it was time for haunt! We first walked around the congo and got chased across the park which was pretty fun, except the fact you couldn't see where you were going because the insane amount of fog. We went to the Doll Factory, it was an OKAY maze but it didn't scare me... It made me laugh We got to ride Blue Ridge Bloodbath, which was pretty awesome. We got to go to Outbreak (Flight of Fear maze) and that one was probably my favorite. Then we started to leave the park and then we went to go in CornStalkers, which was, ehh.. And then we left and were whipped..

cfc
Yes, unless you get to Volcano right at opening, you must be prepared to wait.
T-BONDIcoasterkid
My 305th post, thought I should put it here! Intimidator 305 is my favorite ride, its packed with airtime, speed, heights, and sustained g-forces!
braztaz
I went last Friday, and Doll Factory is definitely my favorite maze this year, by far.
Hugecoltsfan
I've thought about this for a while. But is the angle of I305's lift 45 or 50 degrees

T-BONDIcoasterkid
I've thought about this for a while. But is the angle of I305's lift 45 or 50 degrees Yea that's what I thought when I saw it for the first time too! Because, I knew that Millennium Forces' lift was 45 degrees, but Intimidator 305's lift looked steeper, I guess not.
Intimidator305
Intimidator 305's lift hill looks much steeper than it actually is because of the way it is placed back in the corner. When you walk in the 305 plaza you are looking at the lift straight-on and there isn't a straight parallel view of the lift in the park beside in the back half of WaterWorks... The lift hill feels steep at KD because all the other coasters in the park have a gradual lift hill (about 30 degrees I'd say). It looks much steeper than 45 degrees from the Eiffel Tower (my photo)... But it is actually 45 degrees (KDFansite photo).
T-BONDIcoasterkid
^Yea, I noticed that too. You can see the true steepness from Rebel Yell's exit.
Hugecoltsfan
That helped clear somethings up. I always thought it was 45 degrees but the way your looking at in the park just through my eyes off.

I always thought it was 45 degrees but the way your looking at in the park just through my eyes off. Very interesting take on "forced perspective" that the park chose when deciding where to place the ride. Turns out my 2011 season is over since I'm sick this week for starters & the forecast isn't looking that good for saturday....ohh well I'll just have to tide myself over by following windseeker construction once it begins. T-BONDIcoasterkid
I don't like Intimidator 305's placing so much because you cannot get a good drop shot, unless you are in the Eifel Tower. Regardless of that, I love it.
Austin11KD
^I noticed if you are in the parking lot for "The Meadow" you can see the drop very well..
Philrad71
Anyone else have problems renewing their Platinum Pass pass online? When I went to renew, it told me that there was a problem with processing my renewal and to contact guest services at the park. I tried calling Kings Dominion on Sunday morning and reached a lady (after being passed around three times & was put on hold for 15 minutes) that asked for my number and if she could call me back, but she never did. I wondered if it was because I originally purchased the 2011 pass at the end of 2010 at Cedar Point, but processed it at Kings Dominion the following spring? I have also tried renewing the pass on the CP website, but it tells me I can't because the pass was a KD Platinum Pass. Now KD's guest relations won't open again until the weekend and then I'll have to give it another try to renew...otherwise I'll have to pay the extra $10 and just buy a brand new PP. It really shouldn't be this difficult!

Philrad71
^ Just talked with the park again this morning and apparently they have been having problems renewing PP's online. Again I was told that they were busy and if they could call me back. The staff seemed friendly & courteous, but I'm not going to be a real thrilled if they do not call me back for the 2nd time. Yeah it's only $10, but once they get the situation resolved, I should still get that discount on my renewal - that's only fair. Edit: I did get a call back last night around 6:00 and we were able to process my PP over the phone. Turns out that it did have to do with my purchasing it at CP and processing it at KD. They are going to mail me the form/receipt and then I can just take it to whatever CF park I visit first in 2012. I'm hoping that it might be Knotts for WCB 2012!!! Austin11KD
Does anyone else think it would be cool if Kings Dominion got rid of Anaconda and put a new B&M Wing Rider in that spot over the lake in 2013 or 2014? It would be really thrilling to be on one of those and be over water the whole time. They could name it SeaHawk! Just a thought that probably wouldn't happen , but it sure would be cool!
