T-Rex, take another look at your list of ride...Silver Bullet is not a family ride. I do agree that the park has lots of family flats, but the Rowdy's Ridge area is mostly family stuff. The area should stay family or maybe a borderline thrill/family ride.

Any theories on what the retheme of Ride Of Steel could be?

I got some

*A legend of the "Steel Beast" that lives in Elk Lake to "complement" the wooden beastly coaster, Predator

*Western retheme

I have an idea for the soon to be vacant spot where the Ranger was... A Rainbow/1001 Naughts type ride... Think about that. It would kinda be the best of both worlds for Rowdy's Ridge. A Family/Thrill ride. Should fit right in where the Ranger was since both rides take the same blue print..

Huss no longer makes Rainbow rides, but I think that Darien Lake can get something similar to a Rainbow ride and maybe they can themed to fit in with Rowdy's Ridge.

Ya that's what I mean.. Arm, and other manufactures still produce that type of ride.. I don't even think HUSS exists anymore??

I was thinking about weather or Huss is still around?

In the 1980s Darien Lake was the North American "showcase" park for Huss rides. Darien Lake's Ranger was probably the first Huss Ranger ride ever made.

Huss is still around. They announced a few months ago their new second generation Enterprise. Shame they don't have the ride catalog they once had though I'd love to see new second generation models of some of their classics.

Sartori also makes a Rainbow type ride as well but I think ARM's Rock Star themed Ali Baba would look great by RoS.

I do enjoy the Rainbow style rides. I always wanted DL to buy the old El Dorado from GL and put it in a 50s themed area with a johnny rockets style diner and all.

^I don't think Intamin makes Looping Starship rides anymore, so Darien Lake is on the outs with that unless whoever buys the is willing to hunt down a used one for them. Martin's Fantasy Island used to have a similar ride to the Ranger, but it was not made by Huss and it was doubled and called "Patriot".

These things do look pretty awesome - and it differs from Ranger and Rollong Thunder. Slightly, but enough for it to be a nice addition

It looks like the Full Tilt at Martin's Fantasy Island. That thing is a capacity nightmare.

ARM makes models with 2 rows too, but the seats don't tilt forwards. I would like to see the park try to get some unique rides, and not just copy off of other local parks. Seabreeze and MFI have been doing this for a few years now. That's why I think that Rolling Thunder and Brain Drain were so successful this year.
