As for the giant drop. It looks way scarier than it is!

My friends have riden it terifided And screaming on the way up. When the ride is over I usualy hear "That wasn't scary at all!"

So I recomend you give it a go!

If it's any indication, at CP I rode Top Thrill Dragster about a month before I would even dare ride Power Tower. Demon Drop still gets me every time, and I even managed to have a breakdown at the very top of it last summer. (The ride had a breakdown, not me. )

Skycoasters are waaaay outside of the spectrum for me... maybe if someone else paid for it I'd dare to ride!

I'm in the same boat. I wouldn't get there until 4ish. It would be great to see Cameron and Matt again, and meet some new people.

I am highlighting the more important person here.

Since the park will likely be ******packed****** on July 6th, I will be getting a gold Flashpass for Dan and I which I'll order online the week before. The pass supports up to 6 people, so anyone who plans to join us for the day should PM me and I'll be sure to add them to our pass (but will expect the $34 on the day). No rush though, we're still 3 weeks away..

Dan, you'll do great on the Giant Drop. They irk me quite a bit, but I actually kind-of like it. Just remember to look out, and not down, and you'll be fine.

I might join you guys... But it all depends!

I will most likely be going with a friend if I do go. So I'm not to sure if any of them would feel comfortable around you freaks. As well as if Cameron will have room on his flash pass.

So most likely I will probably just meet up with you guys for a ride or two. However that will work since you guys will have a flash pass I'm not sure.

But I have plenty of time so well see what happens.

^^I would love to come! I always heard so much about you from soo many people. Haha. But like I said earlier, I might be busy.

July 6th is a monday, so why would you get a flash pass is it is a weekday? Actually, it might be crowded, but what if it isn't? Would you go get a refund?

^The crowds should be slightly below average with 45 minute waits at the most (For rides like Superman). Because it is still just the beginning of summer.

But I'm no future reader!

That's how I survived Power Tower the first time.

So is the gold pass somewhere around $200 to start, or is it kind of a "reduced price for every extra person" deal?

EDIT: ^That reminds me, I was browsing through Youtube for SFGAm vids and found this awesome Mr. Six commercial...

From what I'm gathering from the official site, the regular still makes you wait as long as the line is, just... not in line. For example (I think), if Superman had a 90-minute wait, and your Pass goes off, that means it's still a 90-minute wait for the ride, but you can ride a few other attractions before going back in an hour-and-a-half and getting right on. Whereas the Gold Flashpass gets you on the ride as soon as the Flash goes off, give or take maybe a few minutes.

I was wondering if the Passes would be worth it, as it's a Monday yet it's just after the July 4th weekend. For comparison, I remember using the Universal Express passes two years ago, and while it was free for us hotel guests, it was WELL worth it even on a weekday in the middle of March.

The 4th of July is on a Saturday this year, and most places will use July 3rd as their holiday. That's how my work is doing it anyway, but every company is different. I'm sure a lot of people will be taking the Thursday before or the Monday after off. It might be busy, it might not, but I'm going to go with it being busy. Unless it's a super hot day and everyone else goes into the water park and abandons the rest of the park, which is a long shot.

I think everyday. I don't see why he wouldn't (unless it's raining or, you know, when the park is closed)

As for crowds, they're always unpredictable but my best guess would say it's going to be busy.

How often does Mr. Six dance at the park?

Early in the season, we always saw him and some Looney Toon Characters dancing for about a half hour-hour by the entrance gates. I have not seen him there since the park has went daily, but I tend to be there for only a few hours at a time.

The regular passes work fine. Idk if it was a mixup, but we always waited 20 minutes virtually for a 2 hour line on raging bull. and like we would only wait 10 minutes for all rides no matter how long it was.

Posted

According to the website: The regular Flash Passes will have you wait however long the line already is (but obviously you don't actually have to stand in line). The Gold FlashPasses will reduce the wait by up to 75% - which is exactly what you want on a crowded day.

As JoJo said it's a holiday weekend, so expect a lot of people.

With the Gold Flash Pass we never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride. We would reserve it, then be able to ride 2 or 3 minutes later. It was worth every penny.

Haha, that is what happened when we got regular.

SFGAM does not know how long their lines were. We went in line for Dark Knight and it said the wait was 60 minutes or less, and it was 8....

And for Viper, it said 45 minutes or less, and it was a walk on. Seems to me these people are lazy to change the sign or they actually think a walk on line is 45 minutes.

Too bad they aren't gold flash passes...

i've been had!! oh well, up until now i thought the gold was a good deal. i did overhear some "regular" flash pass holders towards the end of the day saying that they weren't able to ride Raging Bull until an hour after our gold flash pass let us. but is it worth that much more?? hard to say i guess.

But I never get a flash pass. SFGAM is my homie park, so why by a flash pass if I will get a chance to ride it some other time this year? I have already ridden some coasters there over 30 times, and so I am set to go! Haha

Does anyone remember Shockwave? Or Rolling Thunder
