Seems like a great addition. Would love to see it be the larger version to make it standout more compared to GA's version.

That's nice.

So what's that supposed to mean? Just making a statement.

It means that I totally agree with you that that would be wonderful, but there's a better chance of this park running 2 trains on Thunderbolt, giving guests free soft drinks, not hiring a**holes to work at every food stand and offering to give every guest a complimentary b***job on the way out than actually getting a custom free spin.

(Can I say that? I know Robb has said it. Oh well, I'll put stars there. Stars make everything better)

I hope that one day my home park is so well off that people start b*tching and complaining about getting a new roller coaster because it's not the kind they wanted.

Don't kid yourself. This happens with every park. If it's a park where they get new rides all the time it happens because they're spoiled (as you mentioned), if it's a park that never gets anything it happens because people bitch that "We waited XX years for a new coaster and it's just a stupid (Insert anything that's not an RMC or Intamin here)". If it is an Intamin or RMC they'll still complain, they'll just wait until it opens and the complaints will be about "vibration" in the case of an RMC or the restraints if it's an Intamin.

Wow. You are over the top wrong on so many levels here. Not even worth answering. What I mentioned isn't even "custom". It was an already shown design.

So that would be one level. You named one thing.

By "custom" I mean a Free Spin that's never been built before, because so far there are only 2 of them and they're the same exact design. Just like this one will be.

Also, I'm agreeing with you that that would be great. I never said it was a bad idea, I just said it would never happen. So I don't know what the problem is honestly. We're basically on the same page.

No problem just felt like it was a lot of general statements that aren't always accurate from previous years and insulting to the employees in many instances. I've met and talked to several good employees for all the ones that aren't and yes I agree there are plenty that do suck. That can be said for any business. Also on the ride side SFNE did get the largest Sky Screamer and GA did make theirs larger based on feedback. It can happen and it's been designed so it's not custom in my mind. Either way a new coaster is coming to SFNE!

Lets hope Flashback is going bye bye. Seems like it is since the Loony Toons area is right by there and the 4D will fit well in that site (plus why do we need 2 boomerangs -_-)

So you'd prefer a bathroom over a beginner coaster?

Since when is a Vekoma Boomerang considered a "beginner coaster"?

And yes, unless it has the new vest restraints, I'd take the bathroom over a boomerang. In a bathroom, you get rid of crap, on a boomerang, you ride it instead.

That Boomerang stinks. It is easily the roughest one I have ridden (Zoomerang is alot better). Also the park still has Thunderbolt which is a way better beginner coaster.

From a coaster that has inversions does it get much more beginner these days? Hence my comment. If you take it out for a bathroom how in the world does that gain anything positive? You can still relieve yourself in any other restroom with it still there!

It's smoother than others that I've ridden. Yes TB is good as well but it has 0 inversions. Hence beginning coaster with inversions. Goliath is crazy rough so should both get removed for nothing other than a relief spot? I get where u guys are coming from but if you take them away nothing better replaces them right now. Why would u want that?

You have a point. I guess a bad "beginner coaster" is better than no beginner coaster

Eh, it goes without saying that there are some employees at SFNE that are great and I've encountered some of them but we go to a lot of parks and as a whole Six Flags New England routinely has the worst staff of any corporate park anywhere and the worst staff overall outside of Jolly Roger and Rye Playland which are both together in a league of their own.

It may not be a nice thing to say, but in my opinion it's also an honest observation. That's not to say they don't have a few people that rise above the climate of mediocrity and rudeness towards guests but those people are the exception, not the rule. The staff is a little better than they used to be. Ironically I think the single worst year they ever had staff wise was the year they were voted by the Golden Ticket awards as the 5th friendlest park in the world (which had to be done sarcastically).

I'll second the opinion that NE's staff stinks. I was there yesterday and had a particularly rude encounter with one of the ops on Wicked Cyclone. We requested the back row and the grouper obliged us and asked us to stand to the side.

The rude op in question came storming towards us with such an unnecessary attitude, saying things like "next time I'll throw you off the ride." And to top it off, she slammed our restraints down really hard. Just for asking for a particular row that her co-worker said we could wait for.

I can't disagree with you. You have more experience than me just felt it was a bit much from what I've experienced. We are on the same page about some good employees. There are plenty that aren't but they are kids. SFNE has been making solid additions which is promising if nothing else. To me a lot gets rectified if they ditch the assigned seating. That's the biggest SFNE issue in my mind.

I'm happy to see one of these installed. Joker was closed last weekend during my visit to Great Adventure and I was really looking forward to trying it. How's the capacity on these coasters?

Not as bad as you'd think. Joker's line moves relatively well. With SFNE's ops though...Who knows.
